0 APR Cards

The typical consumer carries around entire wallets and purses bursting with a myriad of credit cards, so it's very likely that you're paying an exorbitant amount on all of these cards just in their annual percentage rate, or APR, that you're being charged. The typical credit card carries with it an average APR of about 13%, though occasionally you can have one as low as 6 - 8%. In order to get people to fill out credit card applications, one can get lower rates or even zero APR offered to them by the companies. Now that 0 APR cards are popping up everywhere, a lot of people are able to save a bunch of money that would otherwise be wasted on interest charges.

If you're paying 6-13% or even higher on your interest rate for your credit cards, you are flushing money down the toilet, money you could use for essentials: Not owning 0 APR cards can help bring down your once-sterling financial status. In order to improve your financial situation and save money, look into getting 0 APR cards.

It's likely that you've been peppered with a lot of credit card offers in the mail. Most of us just throw them in the trash right away; next time your mailman delivers the next batch of incoming card offers, hold on to them for a little bit. Now that more credit card companies are sending out 0 APR credit card offers, you are more likely to have several applications you can quickly fill in and mail back to the credit card businesses. In this way, you can get a great zero annual percentage rate on a brand new 0 APR credit card.

Of course there are risks inherent in getting a 0 APR credit card for your usage; for example, some companies just offer the zero percent APR to get you hooked, which will spur you to overuse your credit card too much. You could be tempted to get a lot of items that you don't need since you're not paying any more for them, building up your debt. If you miss one single payment or just cannot pay your minimum payments anymore, your 0 APR card can suddenly turn on you, proceeding to bleed you dry of cash and credit points, which can be even more aggravating than your previous cards.

When you apply for 0 APR cards, be certain to know all the terms and conditions of the credit card offer, so you don't get surprised by high interest rates as soon as you don't make a payment before the due date, or run up your balance past your limit. Only get a 0 APR card if you intend to be smart about the way you use it.
