10 Effective Recipes for Natural Face Masks

These natural face mask recipes can help you whether you have dry skin, or whether you have an oily complexion, causing more blackheads to pop up. Nobody has the perfect skin, but there is something you can do about it.

Fortunately, most of these items you can find in your pantry. Things like honey, yogurt and egg whites are a whole lot better than spending money on a bunch of chemicals in a tube.

Diy egg face mask for skin tightening

This is one of the best and well known face masks you can use, if it is a firm, tight looking skin you are after. It is the next best thing to a surgical face lift if you do it on a regular basis.

Here you can simply take an egg white, and brush it on with a make up brush. However, you can also add other ingredients, such as green clay if you want extra firming. You can add a tablespoon of honey as well. Leave the mask on for about 20 minutes, before washing it off.

Best Face Mask for Blackheads

Papaya is great at removing blackheads. This condition happens a lot with people who have oily skin, where the pores become clogged. Papaya has the correct properties to help with this. Get yourself a ripe papaya and mash it together witha 1/4 teaspoon of flour and leave this on for 15 minutes, and wash it off with cold water. Ths also helps with tightening the skin, so it is a good mask to use.

A face mask for dry skin

If you have dry skin, you really have to give it plenty of moisture, because this is what leads to wrinkles and fine lines. Avocadoes and honey will work well here. Make sure the honey is organic.

  • 1/2 an avocado pear
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp tsp coconut oil

Mash this all together, and then wipe it off with a warm cloth after 10 minutes.

Homemade eye mask for puffy eyes

Cucumbers have been used for years and years and are the best thing to lighten those rings caused from stress and late nights. They will also help with puffy eyes. Just put a slice on each eye.

Another thing you can use are tea bags. Stick to green tea and herbal teas. Put these in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, so they are a little damp and then leave them on your eyes for 10 minutes.

Moisturizing Coffee, Cocoa and Honey Mask

This will help with swelling and anti-aging, thanks to the antioxidants found in the ingredients. It would also be a good thing to add in 2 Tablespoons of yogurt because this will help with the moisturizing properties.

Blend the yogurt, 1 Tbsp honey, 2 Tbsp ground coffee and 2 Tbsp cocoa. Make sure these ingredients are all organic. Spread this on your face and leave it there for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off.

Facial Mask for Acne

One of the best things you can do for this is to mix bicarbonate of soda with water. Make sure you have washed your face with your usual cleanser before going ahead with this.

Egg white is another effective way of removing pimples and dealing with oily skin. You can mix an egg white with 1/2 a cup of organic yogurt. Do this on a regular basis and you will start to see an improvement. You could even start doing it two or three times a week.

DIY face mask for stressed and dry skin

This homemade face mask recipe is perfect for when you get back from the office and you are really tired. You will instantly feel energized and ready to go again.


  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Mix these ingredients until they are nice and creamy. Spread this on your face and leave it there for about 20 minutes before you give it a rinse.

Natural facial mask recipes for men

Do men really need a mask? Well, imagine shaving every day - this, in additon to the way that the skin is naturally made up, makes it a lot rougher. To improve this, a facial mask is a good thing to think about. It is even better to do this yourself, because you don't want to be bothered with all of those chemicals.

For a soft and smooth complexion, mash up a banana, a handful of strawberries and a little pineapple.

For dry skin mix a Tbsp of almond oil with an egg.

For oily skin, mix 1 ripe tomato, a Tbsp oatmeal, and the juice of a lemon

Leave all of these on for 10 minutes before wiping them off with a warm cloth.

Revitalizing Yogurt and Oatmeal Mask

This will also help to feel you a lot more rejuvenated. Simply mix enough yogurt with a tablespoon of oatmeal and then add in a couple of drops of organic honey to your mixture. This needs to stay on your face for 15-20 minutes. It also helps to tighten your pores.

Turmeric powder as a skin brightener

Tumeric is used in India a lot as a natural skin brightener. If you mix this with olive oil and yogurt then you have a great face mask. All you need 2 tablespoons of flour, mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder. If you have oily skin, then add 1/4 cup of plain yogurt, along with a couple of drops of lemon juice. For dry skin, add in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Also add a couple of drops of honey. Leave this on for 15 minutes and then wash it off with a warm cloth.
