1. Winnie the Pooh Wonder and Wander from Disney

Winnie the Pooh Wonder and Wonder features a small choice of games and activities for kids with their favorite Winnie the Pooh characters. Some of the games include:

2. Turtle Trek from Sea World

Turtle Trek is for ages 4 to 9. It is the first mobile game created by Seaworld, too. Help your turtle swim through the ocean to meet new friends, avoid dangerous predators and collect stars as a reward along the way. It is a free game but you can also buy it. The proceeds go to Sea-World and Busch Gardens. 

3. PlayART

PlayART uses artistic techniques from famous painters such as Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Cezanne, Claude Money, Henry Rosseau, and Paul Klee so kids can create virutal masterpieces of their own. This app features over 100 elements for kids to choose from. Children can also customize their work with features like flip, rotate, and size change. 

4. Scooby Doo Who Are You

Scooby Doo Who Are You is an app featuring the story of how Shaggy met Scooby. The book plays an audio recording to your child while he/she follows along. There is also an option for parents to record the story using their own voice if he/she can not be there with their child all the time. In addition to the story the app also features:

  • kid-friendly puzzle games
  • matching games

5. BrainBop Jr. 

BrainBop Jr. is a series of short education videos spanning topics such as Geography, Social Studies, Science, Arts, Math and more. The game is designed for ages 5 to 9, helping them develop critical thinking skills and learn important information in a fun rather than preachy kind of way.

6. Stack the States

Stack the States is a fun geography map teaching children the geography of states, the captials of each state and the shape of the states. The Lite version   features are limited but the upgrade is only .99 cents if you want to do more for less than the cost of many other game apps. 

7. Music Sparkles

Music Sparkles is a music app for preschool and toddler aged children. The xylophone and drums are available on the Lite version. You will need to upgrade to the full version to get access to all 12 instruments available. 

8. Zoo Set 1-3 Zoo is a set of three animal games to teach children about animal facts and hear animal sounds for free. Some features of this app include:

  • Realistic animal exhibitions
  • Fun animal facts
  • Animal Quiz

9. The Grand Canyon The Grand Canyon is much like the Zoo app above but based upon the Grand Canyon. When some mice decide to visit the Grand Canyon, children have the opportunity to travel along to search and explore with them. There is also a Grand Canyon song for children to learn at the end of the game. 

10. Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?

Most people are familiar with the popular game show Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? and this is the app version of it. It is likely too advanced for children in 1st or 2nd grade, but third grade and above should easily be able to follow along. The free version of this app does have ads. If you don't want the ads you will have to upgarde to the full version which is $2.99
