It is one of life’s greatest ironies that as we get wiser and our life skills more developed so too does our susceptibility to age related memory loss .This perception that loss of memory is inevitable is very common and cuts across age, race and gender and for many decades after World War 2 has been the prevailing view amongst leading medical experts and researchers of the day.

8. If you are using doctor prescribed medication, try to understand the potential side effects that could be having a negative effect on your memory .There are a number of commonly prescribed medicines that do have a detrimental effect on the brains ability to remember in the short term.
9. Develop new outlets for your creativity. Try a pastime that requires focus and concentration and practise improving the length of time you spend in the flow of a particular task or activity.
