12 Companies That Let You Work From Home As A Customer Service Agent

Working from home has become a booming business since people began losing their jobs due to the economy. Working as a customer service agent is a great way to make money online because you get paid hourly and have scheduled hours like you would at a real job. Pay is usually more than minimum wage and you don’t have to spend money on gas or food at the office. Here are 12 companies that hire people to work from home as customer service agents!

1-800-Contacts hires people within 50 miles of Draper, Utah to work for them as customer service agents. You can apply at their main websites.

1-800-Flowers hires people from Florida, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia to work for them from home. While they currently only hire people on a temporary bases during the holidays, the positions can become permanent.

Accolade Support hires people to work from their own home as customer service representatives. Currently, the average starting pay is $10. The amount you are paid can fluctuate by how much experience you have and what type of position you have there.

Amazon is a well known name that we have all heard of. They also hire people to work from home for them in the states of West Virginia, Kentucky, North Dakota, New York, and Washington.

Arise is a site well known for hiring people to do customer service work from home. However, this company is controversial because they require the application to pay for classes that involves training needed for the job. While this is a legitimate company that does let people make money from home, it bother me slightly that they have you pay a small fee for the classes.

BSG or Billing Services Group hires people at a starting pay of $8.50. Rather than hiring individuals as employees, BSG hires people as independent contractors.

Century Link is a company that hires people in FL, IN, KS, MN, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NV, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA and WY to work from home as customer service agents. Starting pay is $10 to $11 an hour, which is great!

Cloud 10 is a newer company that hires people to work from home as customer service representatives.

New Corp hires people to work 20 to 40 hours a week as customer service agents. Pay is between $9 and $10 an hour and you have to be 18 years or old to apply. You must have a high school degree or GED to work here, as well as your own computer, internet, headset, and landline. Training is paid and 6 weeks long.

Smart Office Solutions pays people to work from home as customer service representatives. They do mention on their website that there are higher paying jobs available depending on one’s experience and degrees.

Tele Tech pays $9 to $10 an hour for people to work in their own homes as customer service representatives. You must be 18 years or older to apply and must have an internet connection, computer, and landline (no cell phones!)

West at Home is a unique company that hires people to work from home in customer service. Rather than giving out scheduled times to work, West at Home offers the flexibility for college students, parents, and retirees to log on whenever they have the time to work.

This is a great comprehensive list of companies that let you work from home. I will definitely be looking into some of these companies.
