Expensive Car Accidents
Everybody dreams of having a sports car or a luxury car at some point in their lives, but have you ever wondered what it would feel like to crash one of these mega expensive vehicles? Car insurance premiums are out of this world on exotic cars like Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
Imagine what kind of auto insurance quotes you would get after crashing your $250,000 Lamborghini; you would probably be able to buy a Toyota Yaris with just your Lamborghini insurance money!
The following pictures may cause nightmares for car enthusiasts, but it does make you step back and realize that there is more to life than just having an expensive car.
13. Porsche Boxter
While Porsche Boxter's may be the cheapest car on this list, I would still cry if I destroyed this car. It appears as though they either T-Boned another driver or drove the front end of this poor Porsche into a fire hydrant. This guy gets bonus points for tearing his wheel right off.
12. Audi R8
The Audi R8 has been immensely popular since Audi recently released them to the public. While this particular ca does not appear to be in that rough of shape, the fact that it is in a ditch probably means there is at least a few thousand dollars in damage. I prefer my Audi R8's on the road as opposed to in the ditch; that is just me though; whatever floats your boat.
11. Aston Martin
Let's face it, Aston Martins are NOT cheap vehicles. While this car is no write off, I would not want to be the person forking over the bill on this fender bender. I'd bet the unibody is bent, the bumper supports need to be replaced and obviously you'd need a new bumper skin and hood. It is never nice to see these cars in rough shape.
10. Dodge Viper & Cadilac Escalade Combo
This is a bit of a combo accident, a Dodge Viper and an Escalade get into a bit of a rear ender, that is over $200,000 worth of cars rubbing bumpers! This one doesn't look like it is too nasty of an accident but it gets extra points for involving two very expensive cars.
9. Range Rover
This really hit home for me because Range Rovers are hands down my favorite SUV out there. This guy apparently tried to swerve out of the way of a person and wound up driving directly into his good friend concrete. Very Sad.
I've never really been a big fan of the M6 so I was honestly not too saddened to find a nice smashed up white one floating around the internet. By the looks of things, the owner tried to take a corner a bit too fast and gave the bumper a nice opportunity to become friends with a truck.
I used to have a soft spot for Porsche 911's but after seeing nothing but stuck up wannabe business men with overinflated egos driving them I quickly donated my love to Lamborginis. Way to go jerks! This Porsche was obviously being driven by one of these businessmen, who was more concerned with the conversation on his Blackbery that what was directly in front of him; a stop sign.
Aside from the fact that it looks like a kindergarden student gave this Bugatti a paintjob, you have to feel pretty bad for the owner. With a price tag well over a million dollars this is one car accident you would probably want to hide from the wife, if she hasn't already left you for crashing the Ferrari!
I've always thought it was fun to try and precariously park my ATV on the side of a hill, I've never had enough money to try it with my Lamborghini. Oh right, I don't own a Lamborghini, but if I did, I definitely would not be parking it against that tree.
I've played a lot of Grand Theft Auto in the last decade and have often times wondered what it would be like to drive my car off a ramp spin it side ways and drive it directly into somebodies house. This guy clearly has too much money (and lives) to burn and decides to drive his nice white BMW M3 directly into his neighbors house.
I honestly had no intentions of having two burning Ferraris on the top of my list, but something is starting to seem a little bit fishy to me. When spending a few hundred thousand on a car you'd think they would have worked on the kinks. We all know cars have combustion engines, but the combustion is supposed to be limited to inside the engine; burning the entire car does NOT make it go faster Ferrari engineers!
