1 Day Car Insurance

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Are you the type of person that likes to do a lot of driving or do you rarely take the driver's seat? If you happen to not take the driver's seat very often, then you probably should think about stopping your auto insurance payments and switching to a different plan. When you pay for a full insurance plan that covers you for months or years, you are going to be paying a lot more than you would if you got just "1 day car insurance." Is it even a possibility to get car insurance for a short term like one day? The answer is yes, and you can actually save yourself a lot of money by paying for insurance on only the days that you take the wheel rather than funding your insurance company for a bunch of extra days when you are not going to be driving.

Currently there are an abundance of auto insurers that are trying to get your attention. You probably have seen your fair share of commercials with the Geico cavemen or possibly the Progressive insurance saleslady named "Flo." Maybe you really like the man that represents All State and talks about why "you're in good hands." No matter which commercial is your favorite, most of them are aimed to capture your attention and to get you to work out a short term or comprehensive car insurance deal with an agent from a specific company.

If you are the type of person that is not going to be driving a lot, 1 day car insurance is ideal for your situation. People sometimes think that if you buy a daily car insurance plan, you cannot extend to more days and that is untrue. You could buy a 2, 3, 4, or even a 5 day temporary auto insurance coverage deal. People that are only going to be driving for a few weeks out of the year should really take the time to assess whether or not they can save money by not paying for as much insurance. How can you get yourself a plan that offers cheap and convenient one day coverage?

You should start by calling up your insurance agent and talking with him or her about switching to one day car insurance. You should then ask them how much money you could save if you only purchased car insurance for 30 days versus 365 days. You will probably be amazed at how big your savings are. What will be covered under this shorter insurance plan? To answer that question, you need to ask yourself what was being covered under your more extensive plan. Usually there are no changes at all in your overall amount of liability coverage and protection.

Getting 1 day car insurance may require that you switch auto insurance companies because not all companies will provide you with this type of short-term coverage. You should know from the start of shopping for car insurance whether or not you are going to be doing a lot of driving. If you accidentally signed up for a plan with too much coverage, you should give yourself the opportunity to dramatically reduce your bills by keeping your insurance as simple as possible.

Nowadays, one day car insurance has become very popular because it is cheap and will still protect you as a driver when you actually decide to take your automobile on the road. There is no sense in spending excess money to insure all of the times when you are not going to be driving. Make intelligent insurance decisions in order to save yourself the cash that you would otherwise be wasting.
