The WWE is known for presenting some great sports entertainment events, and the 2009 Survivor Series on November 22nd should be no exception. This event is one of the four biggest annual Pay-Per-View shows each year in pro-wrestling along with the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and Summerslam.

This year's 2009 Survivor Series matches will feature both John Cena and The Undertaker defending their titles in Triple Threat matches. WWE Champion John Cena will have his hands full as he takes on both members of D-Generation X, Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Meanwhile, The Undertaker defends his World Championship against Chris Jericho and Big Show, the current unified tag team champions. What makes these matches extra compelling are the facts that the champion doesn't necessarily have to be pinned to lose, and that the champion will be facing a tag team used to working together. Speculation continues as to whether the tag teams will still be together following these matches.

There will also be a solid grudge match feud on the card as former friends will battle it out in the ring. Batista and Rey Mysterio will lock up, despite these Smackdown stars being best friends before. Their feud developed when Batista and Mysterio competed at WWE's previous PPV, Bragging Rights, in a Fatal Fourway match with Undertaker's title on the line. Batista claims he was on the losing end due to Mysterio, and following the match beat up his pal outside the ring. This prompted Mysterio to confront Batista on Smackdown, but things were unable to resolved. When that happens in the WWE, the only obvious solution is the wrestling ring.

Survivor Series wouldn't be the same without some good old fashioned traditional elimination matches. There will be three of them on this card. In these matches, there are usually two teams of five wrestlers or divas competing against one another. The matches follow traditional tag team rules, with the exception that if a wrestler or diva gets pinned, submits or counted out, they are eliminated from the match. This makes for some interesting scenarios. Examples in the past have seen one man left to face a team of four or five opponents. This year's matches will feature the likes of Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, CM Punk, Christian, Melina, Mickie James, Matt Hardy and William Regal on various teams.

You can watch the 2009 Survivor Series matches on Sunday November 22nd, 2009 starting at 8PM EST on Pay-Per-View. The event takes place in the nation's capital, Washington D.C. and is sure to be yet another entertaining sports spectacular from WWE!
