By Edited Apr 30, 2015 0 0

The 2010 Nike Air Max+ Tailwind running shoe has been updated yet again for 2010. If you are a fan of the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind then you will like the newest model.

The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind features A visible Max Air cushioning in both the heel and forefoot along with a mesh upper for breathability of the feet.

If you are a heavy person then the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind may not be the best shoe for you. The visible Air Max units under the heel and forefoot have a tendency to puncture. After the sole is punctured the feel of the show ill be different. The air soles will likely puncture even if you are a lightweight runner.

The benefits of the Max Air units are you still have the support of the inner pillars so even after the air sole unit is punctured and deflated you will still be able to wear them and they will be comfortable. Nikes other popular air bag units are called the Zoom Air. The Zoom Air units do not have the pillars around the air bag so if you have a shoe that has the Nike Zoom Air and it gets punctured your shoes will no longer be able to be wore comfortably as the Zoom Air unit will be flattened and your foot may compress downward enough that you can stretch out the tendon on your heel.

The best Nike Air cushioning for a heavy person is an encapsulated, non visible, air sole such as the Max Air. Zoom Air will not last very long for a heavy person. An non visible encapsulated max air unti will last much longer for heavier people. Even if an encapsulated non visible max air unit gets punctured it will still providee the same amount of support and cushioning.

The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind is a great shoe for lightweight runners but if you are a heavy runner then the durability of the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind may dissapoint you. If you simply wear the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind running shoes as a casual daily shoe then you will get a Nike show that is extremely comfortable no matter the situation. From the office to walking the grocery aisles you will find the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind extremely comfortable.

If you are a heavy person the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind will work for you but you need to expect that the Nike Max Air units will eventually get punctured and deflate. Even if the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind air units deflate you will still have a comfortable shoe to wear.

The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind comes is Nike+ compatible which means you can hook these Nike Shoe sup to your Ipod and track your distance and speed.

As with many Nike running shoes the toe cap does go over the top of the area wear your big toe is. This allows for slightly better breathing in the toe area of the shoe but durability is greatly decreased as many people will wear a hole into the mesh above there big toe.

Nike recently released a LiveStrong model of the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind. All profits from the LiveStrong shoes go to support the LiveStrong foundation which was started by Lance Armstrong.

If you are an avid walker then the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind is a great shoe. Many people prefer a running shoe such as the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind for walking over a traditional Nike walking shoe.

The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind has a BRS 1000 carbon rubber outsole in the heel area. The outsole of the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind is extremely durable, especially in the strike heavy heel area. There are flex points designed within the outsole of the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind that allow the shoe to bend in a natural way without stressing the outsole which also leads to an extended lifespan of the outsole.

The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind also has a sleeve technology. Many people who have not had the inner sleeve in a running shoe may think it feels odd at first but after they wear the shoe for awhile they generally tend to really enjoy the secure feel of the inner sleeve technology. Even with the inner sleeve the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind still provides a cool feel with the mesh upper. Your feet will feel secure yet they can still breathe properly.

Even in large sizes the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind is a lightweight shoe. The Nike Air Max+ Tailwind can be found in variety of colors and sizes. You can buy the 2010 Nike Air Max+ Tailwind for $99.99 at most online shoe retailers.

Currently EastBay.com has the largest selection of colors available for the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind but he LiveStrong model is not yet available at EastBay. You can also order the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind running shoe from Zappos. Zappos sells the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind for $100.00 and you get free shipping when you order from Zappos. If you wear large sizes such as mens size 15 you can easily find the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind available at many online retailers in large sizes such as 14s and 15s.

The durability of the sole is awesome but if you tend to wear your shoes for a year or more you may be disappointed by the durability of the mesh upper. The mesh upper on the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind is designed to keep the foot cool for runners. The mesh upper on this Nike shoe is not designed for the person who wears this shoe everyday for a year. You can wear this shoe as a casual everyday shoe but you need to keep in mind the shoe is designed for running. If the mesh starts to develop holes after 6 months of heavy wear it is NOT a defect of the shoe. It is simply the way Nike designed this shoe. If you want a Nike shoe with an upper that will last for a year or more under heavy use then look at one of the Nike models with a full leather or imitation leather. The full leather uppers are not as breathable as the mesh upper on the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind but the leather upper will last much longer.

If you need a stable yet heavily cushioned shoe with a breathable upper then the Nike Air Max+ Tailwind may be the shoe for you. You may also be interested in designing your own shoes online.
