Times Have Changed
Turning 30 is a huge moment for any man's life. Time to put away things of the past, and look forward to what life has in store. You may have changed a lot over the past ten years; you might not party the same way you did when you were 20; possibly you've developed a more refined, cultured taste, and the constrictions of life have forced you to be responsible with your after hours lifestyle. But even with that being the case, you still want to have fun and enjoy yourself with friends and family. So if you're looking for a few 30th birthday party ideas, here are some that should help with that goal.
Doing Something Fun
Yes, you're an adult, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun anymore. Doing something that brings a bit of youthfulness out of you without needing someone to drive you home afterward would make for a great 30th birthday party idea. You could grab a couple of friends and play a game of paintball . Maybe rent a few all-terrain vehicles and explore the countryside with a few guys. Being able to get the adrenaline flowing and the heart-racing is a good way to celebrate a new decade in your life. You could drive the ATVs to a nice campsite and do the whole nature vs man thing to test your mettle. Maybe wrestle a bear or hypnotize an alligator to really get the blood pumping (just kidding). Doing something men were meant to do would ensure a great time for all. Other ideas would be rock climbing, white water rafting or surfing.
Keeping it at Home
Who says you need to leave the house to have a good time? Do you like to barbecue? If so, host a barbecue party with burgers, hot dogs, beer an chips that'll satisfy the manliest appetite. You can play games like horseshoes, lawn darts or volleyball to help offset any weight gain. And if you have a pool or a basketball court then that'd give you a few more activities. Another backyard party game would be bolo toss. This is sort of like horseshoes in that you're aiming at a target, yet instead of a stake in the ground and a horseshoe, you're trying to toss a cord with bagged weights (or bola) onto the rungs of a ladder a few feet away. There are plenty of other games that can be played like cornhole, badminton and bocce ball.
Feature a Theme
If the 30 year old has an interest in something, then using that as a theme would be another great 30th birthday party idea. If he's a sports fanatic, a sports themed party with his favorite team featured as party decorations would be adequate. You could also celebrate the party at a sporting event where he's able to watch his team. Costume parties aren't too far-fetched for 30 year olds either, just go to a Star Wars convention and check out how many men 30 and up who attend these events all dressed up as Darth Vader or something. If he has a favorite comic book character, then everyone would come dressed up as characters within that theme. Batman themed party would have people dressed as the Joker, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy. Also, choosing a nice theme would help the guest in deciding 30th birthday gifts for the guest-of-honor. If the theme were sports related, then sports memorabilia or other sport related items would be obvious for people searching for gifts.
Not too Difficult
Finding 30th birthday party ideas for men shouldn't be too hard. If he's not the one who's into themes or anything like that, then a simple birthday event at a restaurant or at home would suffice. Making sure that all his friends and family there is really the best you can do to ensure a good time since it's always fun to be around the people who love.
