3 Tips for Protecting your Pink Laptop Computer

By Edited Jan 10, 2016 0 0

We all know that buying a pink laptop computer is a big investment, and nobody wants to see their prized computer become damaged from the many threats that exist in everyday life. Although we do our best to prevent our computers from becoming damaged, the fact remains that we must be constantly aware of how we treat our machines. While it's true that computer repair services have made it much easier to have our machines serviced, paying for service hasn't necessarily become cheaper. Fortunately, there are some simple steps you can take to keep your computer running smoothly and looking like it did the day you bought it.

Taking care of your computer is easy to do as long as you follow the 3 basic tips below. Although the following tips don't cover every possible scenario or threat that might occur, paying attention to these tips can save your computer from some of the more common threats. Here they are in no particular order:

1. Purchase a Protective Case – this is the first accessory you should purchase for your computer. A protective case needs to be covering your computer from the first day you bring it home. While some people are turned off by the idea of carrying a bulky case, there are actually several different types of smaller cases that are both cheap and effective. One of the most popular types is the neoprene case, which simply slides over the computer and fits snugly.

2. Avoid Excessive Heat – although many people tend to use their laptops on their laps on while lying in bed, it's important that the computer be allowed to breath at all times. There must always be a clear path for fresh air to enter the machine and for hot air to be exhausted. If you must use your computer on your lap or in bed then consider purchasing laptop cooling pad, which uses small fans to circulate air beneath the computer.

3. Install Virus Protection – the first thing you should do after you turn on your computer for the first time is to install some form of virus protection. Although you are welcome to install the trial version that comes with your machine, there are also a variety of free versions that can be downloaded online. AVG and Avast are two of the most popular and both offer great protection with automatic updating.

Protecting your pink laptop computer is easy if you're willing to make some small investments up front. By purchasing a protective case, avoid excessive heat and installing virus protection you are essentially lengthening the usable life of your machine.
