Getting your ex-girlfriend actually isn’t as hard as it seems.  I believe that it is possible in many cases based on this fact: if there was attraction between you two in the past, that attraction can eventually come back.  If it wasn’t an extremely ugly break up, if you follow these 4 tips, you will be able to get your ex back.

(This article was mainly written by guys, but it could work just as well for girls trying to get their ex-boyfriend back)

1.  Stop talking to her for a bit

This is absolutely crucial.  You are not going to get her back by convincing her you’re sorry, that it’s going to work, etc.   What you need to do is break it off for a bit. I would sayyou go at least 2 weeks without contacting her.  Show her know that you don’t need her in your life.

2.  Improve yourself

After breaking contact with her, make sure you improve yourself in some way.  Take a class, clear up your acne, start working out, work on your fashion sense, get a new hair style, just do something that will make you a more attractive guy.  So when/if she sees you, she will be able to see that you look or seem different, that difference being a big improvement.

3.  Have a backup plan

While you are not talking to her, make sure you are getting to know more people, especially girls.  This way, if things don’t work out with your plans to get your ex back, it will be no big deal to you.  You already have a bunch of fun, interesting relationships with other girls, so rejection is no big deal to you.

4.  Send her a text/give her a call

This is the biggest step, so listen carefully.  When you make that first contact again (if she hasn’t already), make it a casual text or call, preferably humorous.  Bring up an old inside joke or something.  If not, just say something cheesy and lighthearted like “Just had some of my cousins cookies, and I fired him as my chef.  Looking for a replacement asap.”  If she responds positively, just make standard small talk, and just be the guy she was attracted to in the first place.  If she doesn’t reply or responds negatively, repeat steps 1 through 3 for a few months, and try again.  Who knows, she might be the one who initiates the contact next time.

I can’t guarantee that this will work 100% of the time, but it is the best framework for getting your ex back.  Good luck!
