Use The Weekend To Get Organized

Save Time By Getting Ahead

Time seems to be the one thing that  we all seem to have too little of. We get up, go to work, come home, take the kids to wherever they need to go, make dinner, and then collapse into bed, only to start the whole thing over the next day. However, it is possible that you might have some extra free time on the weekend. So why not use that free time on the weekend to help you save time during the weekdays. You can use these techniques to make each day an easier transition.

1) Plan Your Outfits For The Entire Week

Not only should you plan your outfits for the entire week but you should also iron the clothes too, if needed. Planning out and ironing the clothes you are going to wear is great for those days when you are ready to crawl into bed after an exhausting day and you don't want to have one more thing to do before you can close your eyes. After you iron your clothes, be sure to hang them in your closet so they don't get wrinkled again during the week.

2) Shop For Groceries

Plan your meals for the week and then only buy the ingredients you need to make those meals. Make a list of groceries, based on the recipes you are going to make. Like if you know you are going to make spaghetti, then you know you need pasta, hamburger or sausage, tomato sauce. Whereas, if you didn't know what you were making, you might just buy a lot of different items and not be able to make one coherent dish.

3) Makes meals that is easy to freeze.

There's nothing better than coming home and wondering what to have for dinner and then remembering that bowl of chili that you put in the freezer a month ago, just for such occasions.  Other foods that are good for freezing are certain breads, spaghetti, lasagna, macaroni, and frozen vegetables.

4)  Get other people involved

Don't think you have to be superman or superwoman. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you are feeling overwhelmed by everything you have to do. If you have children, make sure they are assisting you and doing a good job with whatever task you give them.

These are just a few suggestions on how to save time during the week. As you get more organized, you will probably think of other ways to save time. Just come up with your own personal schedule and stick with it.
