In this article you are going to learn 5 ways to improve your life. But they will only work if you decide to do the work. So after you’ve read this article, take immediate action upon what you have learned, and watch as your life slowly begins to improve.
1. Find your purpose in life.
If you already found your purpose in life but haven’t acted upon it, the time to do so is right now. And if you haven’t found your purpose and passion yet, it is something you really have to sit down, think about and discover. Maybe it is to help and inspire other people, paint, volunteer-work or save the environment? Here’s how you discover your purpose in about 20 minutes:
- Take out a piece of paper.
- Write at the top, “What is my true purpose in life?”
- Write an answer (any answer) that pops into your head. It doesn’t have to be a complete sentence.
- Repeat step 3 until you write the answer that makes you cry. This is your purpose.

When you know exactly what your purpose and passion is, start to authentically live align with it.
2. Define freedom.
Again, sit down with a pen and a piece of paper and start answering the question; what does freedom really mean to me? Does it mean freedom from financial strain, getting out of debt, being able to wake up and do what you want or to travel around the world? Whatever your answer may happen to be, ask yourself if you are free now. If not, come up with a plan and start working towards your freedom today.
3. Find out what is most important in your life.
What is most important to you in your life? Is it your family, friends, health or success? You probably answer; all of them. Start doing more of the things you believe to be important, like spending time with your family and friends. If you are working a dead-end job, that you don’t believe to be important, you may want to consider finding another one, one that is align with your purpose. Or why not start a part-time business based on your purpose and passion?
4. Get rich in experiences.
Many people believe that they will improve their life by upgrading their couch or getting the latest flat screen TV. But as you may have noticed, nothing in this article address material things in order to improve people's lives. Do you really use ALL the things you buy? Like most people you probably have a garage or attic with hundred (maybe thousands) of stored things that you don’t use anymore.
The point here is this; don’t get tied up with material things and try to become rich by collecting crap you don’t use. Get rich in experiences like playing with your kids, exploring a new city or going on a date. Experiences like these are the thing you will remember for the rest of your life. When you lie on your deathbed, do you want to remember all the beautiful things you experienced in your life or the things you bought and never used?
5. Read books.

This is kind of what you have done here; read an article about something you wanted to fix, learn or improve, right? So why not pick up a book and learn other ways to improve your life? Do this every time you have a problem, something you need to solve or want to learn. Just find the book you believe could help you and read it.
