The best skin lotions and skin creams don't have to carry high price tags. You can find healthy and cheap skin care products if you know where to look. Here are five of my favorites.
This is an old favorite of mine, but I honestly have never found a cheap body cream to compare with the Vaseline Intensive Care product line. You can get several different scents, and they are all quite subtle and not overwhelming at all. Like all good lotions, this just needs a single application and you are moisturized for the entire day. I love rubbing Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion into my feet and then hopping into bed with cotton socks. In the morning, my feet feel like I just had a pedicure...so smooth!
This all-over skin lotion makes a lovely Christmas gift, as it comes in an attractive sunshine-colored bottle with the distinctive Burt's Bees design. It has a sweet, yet not overpowering aroma. It's more suited for women than men. I love this body lotion for its milky, smooth consistency and delicious honey scent. My husband says I smell yummy yet natural â it doesn't have that fake, perfumy smell so many other skin lotions do.
3. L'Oreal Active Daily Moisture Lotion
L'Oreal's Active Daily Moisture Lotion works well with all skin types. What I like about this one is the SPF 15, which is perfect for long hot days. SPF 15 is low enough that you can wear it every day without damaging your skin, but you get the all-day protection from the harmful UV rays. This lotion has a pleasant, neutral scent.
4. Aveeno Intense Hand Relief Cream
Aveeno is another one of those good old classics that just keep performing year after year. They don't spend a lot of money on fancy gimmicks and trendy advertisements, they just keep putting out quality products. The Aveeno Intense Hand Relief Cream is one of my favorites because of the non-greasy consistency. Really nice, high-quality hand cream at a fraction of the price you might expect to pay.
5. Bath and Body Works Exotic Coconut Body Lotion
Bath and Body Works body lotions make such terrific holiday gifts and birthday presents! The packaging is attractive and most girls love the yummy scents. The Exotic Coconut Body Lotion is a really fun, tropical-scented lotion that I like wearing in the summer. It rubs into the skin well and I usually keep a bottle in my beach bag ready to go.
If you really don't want to spend even $10 on a good high-quality skin care product, you can investigate all-natural solutions such as rubbing olive oil or Shea butter into your skin as a moisturizing product. But if you want to stick with the skin lotion, then the five cheap hand and body lotions I've described above are great choices!
