5 Reasons for a man to see a urologist right now

Some men might not want to admit it, and not even go when needed, but a visit to a urologist promptly after the onset of symptoms could mean the difference between life and death. There are a few reasons why somebody wouldn't want to go see a urologist, for the most part it is because an individual is shy, doesn't want to admit that there is a problem or it's simply because of fear of hearing the diagnosis. Eventually everybody admits the defeat and decides to go, but the damage could already be done because the treatment was not given when needed, so here are a few reasons that should make you go visit a urologist.

1. Prostate inflammations
This condition for the most part affects men between thirty and forty years of age. It doesn't take long for the treatment to take effect, and bed rest is advised for a quicker recovery. The prescribed medicine are antibiotics, and if the disease isn't treated and taken care of with time it progresses to a more serious chronic form which is considerably more unpleasant to endure. Symptom of prostate inflammations include painful urination, uncontrollable urge to urinate and groin pain.

2. Prostate swelling
Mostly present in the developed parts of the world, prostate swelling or benign prostatic hyperplasia causes difficulties when urination. The treatment involves taking medication, and it can take several years to cure, and in some cases even surgery is needed.

3. Erection problems
Erection problems are present with around five percent of men over forty years old, the percentage increases with age to the point where in their seventies every second man has problems with erection. Proper name for it is erectile dysfunction, and depending on age and cause it's treated with medications, psychotherapy or with surgery.

4. Premature ejaculation
Around thirty percent of men of all age groups are suffering from this condition, and only around twelve percent of them ask for medical assistance. Frequently it could be found present together with erection problems, and treatment involves psychotherapy, different kind of techniques, and if all that fails medication is used, and treatment usually lasts from three to six weeks.

5. Prostate cancer
With age the chances of developing this most dangerous disease increases. Around ten percent men over fifty are affected by this disease. The treatment of this condition depends on when the disease is discovered and how much area was effected, so frequent, preventive visitations to urologist are necessary for better chances of recovery, not from this conditions, but from all of them, so don't put off you urologist appointment.
