5 Strategies to Living a Satisfying Life

Daily  life can become routine for some people. Everyone wants the best for his or her family but  sometimes people find themselves just going through the motions and trying to make it from day-to-day. Some people can find themselves just managing  their own life and actually just existing in life and not living a satisfying experience. Everyone wants the best for themselves, family, friends, and loved ones. If you have ever been stuck in a rut. You may get depressed or become stagnant in your personal development. Then you begin to lose motivation and passion for life. Here a five simple strategies you can implement in your life while you strive for a life that will be a satisfying experience.

 

Vision

We all know that vision is an important part of living a satisfying life. Having goals and plans,  without  vision makes it difficult to meet any goals.  Vision is being able to have an idea of what you want in life or visulize exactly what you want, then take action to make the picture a reality. Its also a guide for future and current actions and knowing the results you want. Some people may even be able to see their vision clearly in their heads just as if they were watching a movie. Each individual may have their own definition of vision. Have a clear vision and even if you don’t know how  you will get there, you will meet people along your journey who will be apart of your vision. Your relationshipss  will be a mutaul exchange of knowledge, ideas and resources.

 

Focus

Once you see the vision for your life.  You should stay focused on what actions you need to take and this will limit distractions. When you are focused you are able to be more productive with your time. Time is valuable and needs to be used making  your vision a reality. Sometimes, it's easy to get distracted when you spend a lot of time working. That's why you should take some time out for relaxation. You can also get distracted when you attempt to do too many things at once. Some people are Masters at multi-tasking when it comes to acheiving  life goals. If it works for you than that is great, but its better to start with one thing and stay focused. Try to limit distractions or anything that can take you off your path to having a fullfilling life.

 

Volunteer

Lending your time to a cause or to an organization that needs it would bring much more satisfaction to your life. Unlike donating money to a charity organization and receiving a tax write-off at the end of the year. You will be able to see firsthand the benefits of your time and help change lives. You can serve your community,build relationships, and streghthen the lives of others that you help. It will build self-esteem in your life and the lives of others.

 

Build Friendships and Network Relationships

Building  friendships and network relationships are an important part of living a statisfying life. A strong support foundation and people that that love you are important assetts to have while fullfilling your dreams and making your vision a reality. If you happen to be without  relatives, or family. Someone in your life can be considered family even though you don't have the same relatives. You can build friends by participating in activities that you enjoy and meeting others that have a mutual interest.

 

Recreation

Recreation is important in living a satisfying life  because of the many health, social and educational benefits it can provide. We sometimes get lost through our daily routiune. from time to time we need to be, replenished and reenergized after a time of hard work. Exercise, group participation, relationships, fun and entertainment are all related to recreation. Recreation can be anything that you enjoy, or things that can relax or relieve your stress.

 

Conclusion

You should always work towards having a life that makes you happy. What works for one person may not work for everyone. We are all uniquie individuals serving our own purpose in life. There are more strategies and principles that you can use to have the wonderful life that you would like to have, but these are just a few.

I have a weekly small business group I meet with to focus on goals and productivity. We've been meeting for three years and this has really kept up the 'life moving forward' momentum for us. If it isn't scheduled, it oftentimes doesn't get done, so make room for the important things!

Thank you curiosity44, I know what you mean. I remember being a highly motivated person, now I have to get there again. When I wrote this, I was applying it to myself first. Just to be grateful for what I do have and learn to be happy. In the past , I always strived to get here, get there, get this, and that. Then I still wasn't happy. I learned the hard way to be grateful everyday first. Just like Andrewagreen was saying, we all know these things but sometimes finding the strengh or motivation to get started or follow through and apply yourself is a different thing.

Some very good advice. If you don't mind I will add a point 6. You can read all the good advice in the world but it only works if you follow it. That's always been my problem.
