7 Home Remedies to Remove Blackheads

There are many home remedies that work well to remove blackheads, so why spend your hard earned cash? Fenugreek is a powerful anti-bacterial which makes it good for preventing both blackheads and pimples. To keep your skin clear crush a handful of fenugreek leaves and mix with water to form a paste. Apply the paste to your face each night for 10 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Coriander and turmeric are also good herbal anti-bacterials. Mix 1 teaspoon of coriander leaf juice with half a teaspoon turmeric powder and apply the paste to your face. Leave it on overnight an wash off the next morning. This will not only prevent blackheads, but will also make your skin glow.

Honey is also a known natural anti-bacterial and is also good for your complexion. Warm some honey slightly and apply to your face. Leave the honey on for about 10 minutes and peel it off. It works similar to blackhead tape and will remove the surface blackheads. In addition it will help kill the bacteria on your skin, preventing more blackheads from forming.

Baking soda can be used to exfoliate your skin and clean the dirt and oil from your pores. Simply mix equal amounts of water and baking soda to make a thin paste that you can apply to your face to cleanse it and remove blackheads at the same time.

To make the baking soda mixture above even more effective use a mixture of Epsom salt and iodine to loosen the diet and dead skin that is blocking your pores. The combination makes the best blackhead remover. Mix equal amounts of Epsom salts, iodine and warm water. Take a cotton ball and soak it in the mixture and apply to your blackheads. This will loosen the dirt, oil and dead skin blocking the pores and make your baking soda scrub work even better.

Lemon juice is a natural astringent and will help keep blackheads at bay by tightening your pores. Simply squeeze out the juice of one lemon and apply the juice directly to the part of your face with the blackheads. Repeat this several times a day to clear your blackheads and tighten your pores.

Rose water and oatmeal mixed together make a good cleansing mask that will remove your current blackheads and keep future blackheads at bay as well. Mix equal amounts of rose water and oatmeal powder to make a paste and apply this to your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash off with cold water.
