A7 Envelopes

By | 1 Comments | Rating: 1 | |
Of all sizes and shapes of envelopes available to today's writer, there is none more personal than the A7 envelope. It is the most overlooked of envelopes- as too much of today's correspondence is bills and formalities, and the quiet intimacy of post has been lost to the supposed convenience of the e-mail. But this envelope does not play into that. Compact and rectangular, the A7 envelope is perfect for cards, quick notes and, of course, a friendly memo. It is more private than a postcard, but more free than a large, more rectangular envelope. It is concise but friendly, and always hand-written. The size is not imposing like a standard or legal envelope- it will never be mistaken for a bill, and is sure to be the first letter anyone who receives it will read.

The envelope can come in two styles- a rectangular top-flap seal and a triangular dual-fold layout. Regardless, greeting cards and photos fit perfectly in this size. Standard printer and notebook paper does not fit in this envelope, so it ensures a cordial, inviting, handwritten letter. Due to this unofficial style of post, the A7 envelope will often be found in colorful and intricate print, with patterns and bright colors- perfect for sending out invitations and thank yous.

The envelope can also be used to send out small works of art, newspaper or magazine clippings, poems and excerpts, etc. However, the envelope can also be put to excellent use for business. It will not be thrown into the pile of to-be-sorted junk most offices must go through. A7 letters are never seen as junkmail and are always opened with utmost importance. It draws the perfect line between formal and friendly, allowing the sender to treat his or her clients with care, while still remaining professional.

Although the idea may seem to be a trivial matter, envelope size and style can make the difference in the eyes of the reader. The first impression is always, including with letters, the most important- and without a doubt, A7 envelopes are the most impressing and versatile envelope size there is. It invites the reader to a friendly, care-free read, a perfect escape from the formalities of the technological world. It is commonly used as wedding invitation envelopes. It can also be used for checks, cards or invitations to birthdays and everything in between. From friend to friend, brother to sister, or client to professional, the A7 is the perfect letter.

An insightful look into the unfortunate decline in the art of hand-written anything, especially a card or letter. I'm aslo glad I'm not the only one out here who appreciates all of its qualities.
