Few of us realize just how many of life's greatest occasions will be recalled simply by seeing our wedding ring: our wedding day, the birth of children, anniversaries, the "really good days" together. So be sure the custom wedding ring you select is worthy of holding all that is precious to you! There are many ways you can create a unique ring for yourself and your spouse. You could pick an individual engraving, or unique stones. How do you make a decision that satisfies both of you with the infinite choices available?

With a custom wedding ring, you can express your feelings and honor your partner's passions as well. One way to do this is to add a special message to your design. This could include things like your favorite song, or a nickname. You could send your message by having the inside of the wedding ring engraved. You could also get the etching on the outside of the band.

You can make your custom wedding ring even more unique depending on which metal you select for the band. Gold and silver are well-liked and can be used in many different ways. Tastes change for all things in cycles, and this is represented by the increasing prominence of platinum and titanium in jewelry design. Other trendy options frequently seen in the best wedding rings could include tungsten carbide, stainless steel or even copper.

Many factors need to be considered in custom wedding rings including style (contemporary, traditional, artistic), and what stones you are going to use. Choosing which metal will be used is often made obvious by previous design choices. Perhaps you plan on having symbols such as Celtic knots or infinity circles. Stainless steel and titanium are the best choice for these strong, traditional symbols. Brides sometimes decide on multi colored metal bands for a more up to date wedding band using combinations like yellow and rose gold with platinum.

Gemstones of many varieties can also make an important statement in your wedding ring design. They can serve as a significant demonstration of your attachment. For example, your choice of stone could be traditional and stand for eternity (diamonds), or your choice may reflect a more personal aspect such as a favorite color (red ruby or green emerald). Semi precious gemstones were often used as engagement and wedding rings in Victorian times when each stone had a specific meaning (tourmaline= devotion). Happily they are regaining popularity for matrimony. Rubies and moonstone are symbols of love. Opal and amber represent your fulfilled longings in your relationship. }

Your custom wedding ring can have multiple layers of significance. This is not a thing you want to finish up quickly. You should make a stop at your local jeweler to make sure that you can get the ring that you want designed. You should also carefully consider how much you can afford to spend. You can end up spending a lot of money to create something that stands out. Yet the importance of it and the work you put into it will make it worth the expense.

I think deciding on the ring metal is probably one of the most important decisions when picking (or designing) a ring. From what I understand, platinum is a popular choice for engraving because it's naturally white and is more durable than a lot of other precious metals...that means the engraving won't wear away or become a different color than the rest of the ring.
