A Must Have Conservatory Blinds Checklist

By | Jun 3, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

You have decided to get those conservatory blinds that you have dreamed of for your sunroom conservatory. Congratulations! This is a decision that you will not regret. These blinds are great not only for design and decorative reasons, but they will ensure that your conservatory is a healthier and safer place for you and your family. Here we have a simple checklist that will help you to choose the correct blinds for your conservatory. Each home is different and homeowners have different requirements and it pays to consider carefully what type of blinds you want and need.

Here is the checklist.

  • Decide what use you wish to make of the conservatory. As you are aware conservatories have a multitude of different uses for a family. They can be used as an office, living room, dining room, playroom or casual garden room area. What kind of blinds you want fitted will depend on what you envisage to be happening in the room in the future.
  • Look at the style of your conservatory. Is it formal Victorian or funky contemporary? Would heavy pleated blinds be more suitable or bright and zany vertical blinds? The choice is yours and it is your opportunity to make a fashion statement in your home.
  • Consider the glazing protection that you have. If your conservatory has been built in recent years and has good quality reflective properties in the glazing, then you may simply want your conservatory blinds for decorative purposes. However many people require their blinds to give them additional protection against UV rays and heat build-up in the sunroom.
  • Select a type of blind you like. There are so many different types to choose from – Roman, Venetian, Roller, Woodweave and pleated are just some of the blinds that most stockists of blinds will have available for your sunroom.
  • Do online research for additional information on blinds. You may purchase your blinds locally and get a local tradesperson to fit them, but it does pay to carry out research online to find the best bargains and deals for conservatory blinds. You can then use this information to strike a good deal with your local stockist.
