A Review of Three Conair Hair Products

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Upon recently acquiring three new Conair hair products, I was very and totally impressed with not only the vibrant colors, but the craftsmanship and sheer beauty of the following items:
Impressions Cushion Brush-I actually gasped when I first laid eyes on this; so far, this is the most beautiful hair brush I've ever seen! (The background color is teal or aqua; in the forefront are these assorted flower designs. The whole thing looks like late-1960s pop art; very cool) Even the bristles have these cool purple tips!
Aside from its beauty, the brush also works exceptionally well for everyday grooming and gently de-tangles wet or dry hair. It's good for all hair lengths and types (so whether you have very short, "almost buzz cut", medium or long, straight or curly, you can use it. I personally have medium length, coarse thick hair and it worked great; in fact, it even smoothed out a persistent cowlick I've had for a while!) and will not snag nor pull out your hair (that was one of my biggest concerns).
This fantastic brush is available nationwide at mass market and drug store retailers. Retail price is $7.99.

You Reel 1875 Watt Tourmaline Ceramic 2-in-1 Styler (for drying and hair styling)-I loved the vibrant blue color, but some of the new features take a little getting used to. I DID like the cord that zips into the handle when you press a button, the dual voltage (which means you can use this overseas!) and the folding handle, which was awesome.
I found that even with my coarse hair, I didn't need the high or hot setting at all. Setting it on low was perfect for me (30% less energy). And it dried very fast! I tried the diffuser (this slips right on the dryer nozzle; it provides added volume without the frizz), but it didn't work too well with my hair; the concentrator (which is another slip-on device; it allows spot-on styling) was quite nice, however. I got some subtle waves using this!
The Styler has Tourmaline Ceramic Technology, which brings out the hair's natural shine (which it did). There are 3 heat and 2 speed settings; there's even a "cool" setting that sets your hairstyle by supplying a blast of cold air.
The really cool thing about this is that it's not just a dryer!
The You Reel 2-in-1 is available nationwide, also at www.conair.com and retails for $34.99.

The Bun Maker was a lot of fun to use! The product name is exactly that; it's an easy-to-work-with kit, making it now possible to always have a perfect bun hairdo. This can also be used for other up-swept hairdos. The kit consists of just the bun device itself (it's lightweight and velcro-like,shaped exactly like a bun; an elastic band and four wide bobby pins and simple instructions). Basically you're securing the hair with the elastic (just like doing a ponytail) and then sliding ponytail through the bun (or is it the other way around?), then draping the ponytail over the bun shape and securing it all in place with the bobby pins. You can even do a number of variations and will have fun experimenting!
This product is available at mass market and drug store retailers. It retails for just $3.99.
