A natural approach to weight loss
I was searching the web and looking for information on how to lose weight naturally. The majority of the information I found was promoting a product or service that is suppose to help you lose weight the natural way. There was not a single web page to provide information on how to lose weight using natural methods i.e. a careful diet and exercise. Even those web sites that proposed this way for losing weight at the end they were trying to convince you buy some product or weight loss supplement. To lose weight you do not need to use any supplement or take any pills, all you need is a plan, willingness and patience. In this post we will outline the process on how to lose weight in a healthy and natural way.
Plan
Get prepared for losing weight. Make out a plan on how to lose weight naturally and how you will approach the whole process. Create your timeframes, milestones and targets. For the first couple of months go easy and gradually and then make your efforts more intense. Do not expect too much from your self in the beginning but at the same time set optimistic goals for the future. Do not compromise for the minimum but always aim for the maximum.
Analyze your current eating schedule and try to calculate how many calories you consume daily. Keep doing this for at least 10 days and find out your daily average. Your plan should be to reduce your daily calorie intake with as many calories needed so that you will lose 1 pound every two weeks. One pound is about 3500 calories so if you divide that by 14 days this means that your diet should be adopted to save 250 calories daily. To save this amount you have 2 natural ways. First to eat fewer calories through your food and second to burn more calories through exercise. For the first part you need to replace the food and drinks you eat now that are high in calories with less calorie foods and drinks. Also you can reduce the size of your food portions and watch carefully what your drink (soft drinks, coffees etc). For the second part you need to establish an exercise plan. In your plan you can include some form of 'official exercise' like joining a gym or an aerobics class and some form of 'unofficial exercise' like moving move, start walking, swimming, cycling, gardening and generally everything that keeps you body moving and losing calories.
Willingness
To be in a situation where you need to lose weight this means that over the years you accumulated more weight than your 'normal' weight. This extra weight cannot just go away overnight or in a couple of weeks. The whole weight loss process may take time and during the process you will get bored and tired. You need to know in advance that there will be obstacles during the way and that you have to be brave and motivated to keep going until you reach your targets. This means that even if you do not lose enough pounds the first couple of months you should not quit but continue harder until the end.
Patience
As we mentioned above the whole process on how lose weight may take time. By time we mean months and maybe years. This is natural and acceptable. What you should think during the process is the long term results and visualize the time where you will get rid of your extra weight. Even if you need to spend time to reach your goals you should not get disappointed. By doing your weight loss gradually and not very quickly you are sure that at the end of your efforts you will manage to keep the weight off and never gain it back.
