Acer Liquid Preview

Well the Acer Liquid has been announced and it truly is an exciting day for smartphone fans everywhere. Acer, after its success in the past years with its Mini EEPC which completely stormed the netbook market, has show that it has another beast up its sleeve.

The Acer Liquid is a phone built for pure performance. It comes with the infamous Dragonsnapper chipset that will crank up the smartphone power to new heights, 1GHZ to be exact. The Acer Liquid Android Phone also comes with a 800 x 480 WVGA screen and a camera that will have ISO levels as well as being able to tag your photos on the fly with exact coordinates thanks to its built-in GPRS.

While the release date of the Acer Liquid Android Phone hasn't been announced, it would probably be too soon to expect it for this years' holiday season. Price details and other features of the Acer Liquid Smartphone were not disclosed.

If Acer can manage to provide some good content for its Sniplets application which lets users stream free music and video on to their Acer device, and Android developers manage to create some games for Acer Liquid that manages to take advantage of its amazing hardware specs, then this could be a phone that truly rivals with the iPhone.

We don't yet have a hands on with the Acer Liquid or even a proper review, but its safe to say that this will be a phone that everyone will want to own. It will of course have the capability to play music, watch videos, and will even surf the internet through HSPA networks (High Speed Packet Access).

If you're looking for a new smartphone, then I would advise you to save up and buy a Acer Liquid. The price won't be too high as the Taiwanese company has demonstrated previously with its innovative new technologies, and it might finally be the iPhone alternative that we were all looking for.
