Acne can be a very persistent skin disorder that can be difficult to completely get rid of. At the store and online, there are dozens and dozens of different medicines that you can buy ranging from standard topical creams and kits to pills you take orally. Some of medicines that you can buy right now at the store or with a prescription can have some very annoying and sometimes very bad side effects. Some topical creams, for example, make your skin peel and become irritated, where another pill you can get with a prescription, can make you emotionally imbalanced and even influence you to commit suicide.

In this article, we will be looking at ways of proper skin care to get rid of acne without using prescription medicines, creams, and pills.

Acne is caused by the sebum that your body produces naturally which end up clogging up your pores and causing inflammation, which causes pimples and in the end, acne. So with this basic understanding with what acne is (clogged pores), there are some easy steps that you can take that will help you care for your skin without medicine.

One thing that helps keep you clear of acne is just simple, everyday, skin care. Take a washcloth in the morning when you wake up and again at night, and wash your face with the cloth and a gentle cleanser. When you clean your skin regularly, it keeps the pores open and free from oils and dirt, thus slowing down the spread of your acne and even eliminating it as well.

The foods you eat play an important part in treating your acne. Just like some medicines that you can buy that regulate the secretion of sebum on your skin, there are many foods that you can eat that help do that as well. When you have a diet rich in vitamins and fiber, your body ends of producing a lot less sebum which is a primary cause of your acne. The vitamins responsible for regulating sebum are Vitamins A and B and you can find those vitamins in green vegetables, carrots, apricots, and berries.

Finally, you should avoid excess stress. When your body's hormones are out of whack (like during pregnancy or puberty) stress can cause your body to overproduce hormones which can affect the health of your body in many ways including causing acne on your skin. So, try to avoid excess stress and even try out activities that reduce stress in your body. Exercise can reduce stress as well as meditation.

So, in conclusion, there are ways without medicine that can help you with your acne skin care. Proper daily cleaning rituals, eating right, and avoiding stress are all things you can do that will reduce your acne and even get rid of it.
