blender or smoothie maker

(If you are using smoothies to add health, as an addition to a weight loss program, or are making it in the morning before work or school, a travel blender is a good idea because it simplifies the process. Amazon has affordable travel blenders.)

Now, how do I add spinach and greens to a fruit smoothie without the taste?

Freeze your bananas. You can peel them if you want, but they work just fine if you don't. Run the banana under water for a few seconds or leave it out on the counter while you prepare the rest of your fruit smoothie mix. The banana adds thickness to your spinach and greens fruit smoothie. If you have already had a banana smoothie or a low fat strawberry smoothie before then you have an idea how to make this one by just adding spinach to the fruit smoothie.

Add three big tablespoons of blueberries and strawberries to your blender or smoothie maker. Cut up the banana. Add in one tablespoon of peanut butter to your spinach and greens fruit smoothie mix. If you like peanut butter a lot you can add more, but this will add a lot of calories if you aren't careful. The average peanut butter is 190 calories and 16-17 grams of fat, but it is the good kind of fat that most diets lack.

Spinach and Green Smoothie

Now to add the spinach and greens to your fruit smoothie. Grab a handful of spinach and throw it in the blender. You can add other greens to the mix, too, but the best thing is to start slow by adding the spinach to the smoothie. If you're measuring you should use about 1/2 to 1 cup. Then, add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the Mountain High Yoghurt. If you want the smoothie to be sweeter you can use vanilla or mix plain and vanilla with the spinach and greens fruit smoothie. Mountain High yoghurt is just a suggestion because they use fructose instead of regular sugar. With this yogurt you can add spinach and greens to your fruit smoothie without the taste, minus the extra sugar. Any time you can lower sugar intake it is a healthy move.

To cover up the taste of the spinach pour 1/2 cup of chocolate soy milk into your fruit smoothie mix. The soy milk can be replaced with Almond milk or rice milk if soy milk isn't an option. Although it doesn't seem like this would cover up the taste of spinach, it does. Blend the mix until everything is a soft consistency. If you add more chocolate almond milk or soy milk then the spinach and greens fruit smoothie will be thinner. It is up to you whether you like thick smoothies.

If you like the taste of spinach and greens this will be a perfect fruit smoothie. But, it is even better if you do not like spinach or other greens because by adding spinach to your fruit smoothie in this recipe you will be able to drink it without the taste of vegetables. Adding spinach to your smoothie will give you extra vitamins and nutrients that keep you healthy. Deciding to add spinach and greens to a fruit smoothie turns it into a higher iron and high fiber smoothie, always a good choice. If you are looking for a really good cereal option to eat with this smoothie or as a combination meal, try Nature's Path pumpkin granola, a cereal packed with nutrients and taste. Kids will like this as well, so changing them over to the spinach green fruit smoothie and a tasty granola cereal, both full of organic ingredients, is a great idea.

Pour this into a glass.! You can change up the recipe to your taste. Drink up. Enjoy your spinach and greens fruit smoothie without the taste of greens! Even your kids will like it.
