Take a pattern-i.e. snowflakes, plaid, stripes, sparkles, stars, etc.-and use the colors and highlights to pick your next step. For example, those metallic colored wrapping papers are great to add tinsel to. Simply use various colors on a few small gifts, set them in a basket adorned with complementing tinsel and add a beautiful bow. Your gift will look incredible.

If you have kids that are creative or you love making your own creations why not make your Christmas wrapping paper. All you need are a few items. First you'll need those long rolls of paper found at print shops or craft stores. Plain white works wonderfully or you could try a neutral color. Paint and/or stamps are also necessary. Try using Christmas colors since this is going to be Christmas wrapping paper. Have your kids dip their hands in the paint and put handprints all over the white paper. This makes great Christmas wrapping paper for grandparents and other family members.

For more Christmas-themed ideas use unused sponges and cut them into Christmas shapes like a Christmas tree or candy cane. For a Christmas tree you can add colorful ornaments by using your finger to place little colorful dots on the tree. Have fun, use your imagination and you'll find wonderful ideas for creating unique Christmas wrapping paper which is your own.
