A canopy awning will allow you protection from the rain, while providing a dry spot outside of your door where you may wipe your shoes before entering the home. With a tent, canopy, or awning, you will have a sheltered environment in which to enjoy the outdoor air without having to be over exposed to the outdoor elements. These structures do not just have to be utilitarian; with a minimal amount of searching, online or at local home and garden stores. You should be able to find many options that will complement or enhance the appearance of your deck or yard.
