Those who have been writing online for passive or residual income will know that it is just a long wait to get any form of reward for your effort. How many times have you been glued to your Adsense account only to see the estimated earnings read, zero. You might worry because you were expecting the money to start rolling in just because you've posted a few articles online. Back in the days when only a few people were into blogging and writing for residual income, you could easily make money. Those days are gone and you will now need to work harder for your reward. What does that mean? It doesn't mean you need to write hundreds or article. It just means you need to know what you are doing. Having a lot of articles, hundreds of them will make you more visible hence allowing you to earn more. However, writing relevant articles that people are or will be searching for will also contribute to your potential earnings.

Let us get back to the original question, how long would it take to reach Adsense Payout? If you are wondering what payout is, here is an explanation. Google will not transfer any money to your bank account until you have reached the minimum total of 100 dollars. That is not much but getting to that figure will feel like forever. How long will it take? A couple of years ago, those who write for sites like Hubpages had to wait for an average of 10 to 12 months before reaching payout. The situation is still the same more or less. Some get there faster than others. At lease you have a standard to work with.

You might be thinking that is so long to earn only 100 dollars. It is, and there is nothing you can do about it. Well there is. You have to be patient and stick with it. The next payout average is about 4 months and later 2 months and then you can begin to get monthly payout. This is only for those who write relevant articles and continue against all odds. If you were to think of it, how much is it that per month? That is roughly about 10 dollars per month. It is not much but you will be very happy when it does happen to you. The figures mentioned above are averages. That implies some people will never make it to payout and that others will take forever to reach payout. Google was not created to give you free money. They created Adsense because they want to make money. They are only sharing part of their wealth with you because you contributed to it.

The key to success is to keep writing. There is no miracle and the more you write the better you will become as a writer. The Adsense incentive is only there to keep you on your toes and reward you for the hard work. If you are lucky and write about 20 articles per week (at the beginning), you could even reach Adsense payout faster. Is 20 articles a lot? Yes, but it is doable.

Why does it take some longer to reach payout? Inexperience is mostly to blame. When you start out as a writer online, you will probably write what you feel comfortable with. You will have no notion of how people search for information. You will not know how search engine can boost your income. It will take time to get to the stage where you begin to understand how everything fits in together. By the time you get to that point, you would have wasted a few months. You can still make up for lost time if you understand how to remedy the problem. There is no secret to reaching payout faster but there are only guidelines that you can adapt to your needs. Keep writing and keep your fingers crossed.

Some people use Adsense when they join Adsense-sharing forums. It takes a longer time to earn from forum.
