By | Jun 29, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Are you tired of feeling cramped in your single bed, but your room is too small for a regular double bed? There is a solution-a bed size between a single bed and a double bed. It is a 4ft bed! A regular double size bed is 4 1/2 feet. So get your tape measure and start calculating your space. I'll bet you can get creative enough to make the 4ft bed work in your space.

Bet you didn't know there was such a thing as a 4ft bed option! If you have determined that one will work for you, it is time to get online and check them out. You will find a lot of sources. And you will discover that they come in many designs including traditional, contemporary, southwestern, and even exotic.

You will have a choice of wood or metal frames. Wood frames are made from maple, pine, oak, and cherry, to name just the basic choices. Each wood then has an option for the type of finish, from white to a variety of stain colors. All kinds of designs are made from metal. If economy is a concern right now, you could place a 4ft mattress and box spring on an inexpensive metal frame.

If you are doing a major decorating overhaul, you have choices. Besides deciding on the kind of wood or metal, you could choose from leather beds, storage beds, which have drawers underneath, trundle beds, which have a second bed under the main bed that pulls out when you need to sleep another person, or a four poster.

Your online search will give you pictures of all these choices. You will find prices range greatly from about $100 on up. Once you have a good idea about what is available and the price range, you might want to visit local bed retailers to see what is available locally. You can then make an educated choice about whether to order online or from your local store.
