Alfa Romeo Luxury
Cars are one of the best ways to flaunt one's social and financial status, being one of the biggest investments a person can make. The average person will most likely get an average car, designed to transport people from A to B, with a few standard comforts and features. Some, however, will prefer a higher level of luxury, style, and performance, even if it means paying more money, acting along the lines of status symbols. These cars are luxury cars.
Luxury cars are different from the average car in many ways, aside from the obvious difference in cost. First, as the name implies, luxury cars have an unprecedented level of luxury and comfort, way above what the average car might be able to offer. In fact, many of the classic luxury cars from 10-20 years ago can still compete with modern cars when it comes to comfort and features. Second, luxury cars are also engineered using advanced methods and equipped with cutting-edge technology, and may perform better than average cars. Third, certain luxury cars are not made in large numbers, providing the owner with a sense of exclusivity and uniqueness.
But luxury cars are not just purchased because of these reasons. They are also purchased because of the prestige and fame attached to the brand's name. Some names are known for extreme luxury, while others, like Alfa Romeo, are known for their balance of luxury, raw performance, and a design that is in the middle of both: many Alfa Romeo cars have a design that is not too elegant, and at the same time, not too sporty and rugged.
Many of Alfa Romeo's classics are touring, roadster, or sports cars, which are still considered by many as luxury cars because of the features within. Many, while equipped with high-performance engineering, still have features that offer the driver a luxurious and comfortable ride. Classic cars, like the 6C 2300B and 8C 2900B touring cars from 1934 and 1937 respectively, have elegant lines combined with powerful, sometimes brutish features.
There are many classic Alfa Romeo cars, but perhaps none is more famous especially to Americans than the icon, the Alfa Romeo Spider.
Popularized in the U.S. by Dustin Hoffman in the movie "The Graduate", the Spider is one of the best examples of Alfa Romeo's balance of luxury and performance. While "The Graduate" model was intended to be an "entry-level" Alfa, with basic features to make it cost less, the other Spider variants were made to be the best roadster Alfa Romeo could produce.
Alfa Romeo fans can find very good Alfa Romeo deals on the internet, or from other car dealerships. A used Alfa Romeo Spider can be a very good pre-owned car investment for those who wish to own a fun car.
