Protect your unguarded skin from harsh environmental conditions with an all natural lotion. Regular application of all natural lotion will keep your skin moisturized and looking young. Don’t waste your hard-earned cash for products that are overloaded with chemicals. Be sure the merchandise you are investing on is all natural.

The skin is the largest organ in the human body that protects you, but who protects it? An all natural lotion is the exterior shield that keeps the skin moisturized and prevents it from drying, which in turn may cause premature aging and dehydration. All natural lotions are best applied after you take a bath, as they will trap the moisture and keep your skin hydrated and healthy.

What is an all natural lotion?

All natural lotion is basically made of ingredients that are found in nature. There is a difference when a product’s ingredients are labeled with natural and when it is labeled organic. Most people mistake one for the other. Natural means the ingredient is not chemically altered or synthesized. Organic means that the producing, manufacturing and handling of the product uses organic means. The terms should be clarified in the event that one stumble upon the terms, and that in some way may be misleading to the individual.

So basically, natural lotion is made up of unaltered natural ingredients. Lotions are made up of three basic ingredients: these are water, oil, and emulsifying wax. This can be “naturalized” for example if the oil used is olive oil and the wax used is beeswax. Both are unaltered ingredients coming from nature. These are not the only two that can be used. There is also coconut oil which is rich in vitamin E and is very capable in hydrating skin. Avocado oil is another, this has properties that prevent age spots, and the presence of sterolins it is able to nurse scars. It also contains vitamin A, D and E. Beeswax, the colorless liquid female bees use to build the honeycomb, has properties that can seal in moisture  in skin, it also has anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties that shield the skin from infection.

Natural additives can also be added. For example, macadamia extract can rejuvenate skin cells, and can fixed damaged ones. It is also rich in antioxidants that are also important for the skin. Goat’s milk is also great in replenishing dry skin. This ingredient is popular when one wants to have silky smooth skin like that of a baby’s. Cleopatra, the famous queen of Egypt once was known to bath in Goat’s milk. Another ingredient used by the beautiful queen is Aloe Vera. This ingredient has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial healing properties. You can also add natural ingredients to enhance the smell of the lotion. Lavender for example is a popular scent that is known as an anti-depressant and can also help with those with sleep disorders. Rosemary is a scent also widely used. It is used as an astringent, antiseptic, anti fatigue and a memory enhancer. Adding cinnamon and citric acid also help preserve your lotion longer. The list goes on and on when one wants to add ingredients to all natural lotions.

 Types

Before purchasing the all natural lotion of your dreams, take into mind where you are going to use it because there are different types of lotions according to use. There are a lot of types found in the market today. To name a few there are bath lotions, body lotions, hand lotions, facial lotion, and there are even lotions to minimize hair growth. Each type targets a specific part, and each having special properties that either moisturizes, softens, minimizes pores etc. But most commonly when people talk about lotions, body lotions come into mind because this is the type that has the most skin coverage

On choosing

You buy a product because of the benefits; aside from these benefits there are also things that one has to consider. When you make you purchase keep in mind what effect from all natural lotions you want. Different ingredients have different outcomes. Also take to mind if you have allergies, always check labels before you make your purchase. This is where samples come in handy, samples give you an opportunity to test whether an all natural lotion you want to buy is really effective or not and this checks if you react negatively to them. This will help you save money if ever the product is not to your liking.

An all natural lotion can be bought at your local bath stores for about 5-8 dollars for a 4 oz a bottle. It is a good investment for healthy, happy, glowing skin.
