Cycling an Amazing Way to Get Fit and Slim

I don't have any clue as to the name of the man who invented the wheel but can say with a great amount of authority that a cycle, that is based on the principle of wheel, is probably the best ever machine that can help a man/woman get fit and slim. Anyone who has used cycle as a way to commute to his or her office will back me when I say that the machine called cycle is an amazing gadget, that can do what an expensive tread mill cannot.

I will like to mention a real life story to you which will make things clear regarding the amazing benefits of cycling. My grandfather whose farmhouse was nearly 40 kilometers from his house used to daily travel that much distance on a cycle. He was 70 plus but looked as fit and young as a 25 years old man. He had a flat belly and there was not even a single wrinkle on his face. My grandfather was free of diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, etc.

It was the daily bicycle workout that kept my grandfather strong and energetic. He used to single-handedly manage his farm and he never looked fatigued or weak. Therein lay the formula of achieving a fit body. I took the cue from my grandfather's cycling routine and added it to my daily workout and the results were unbelievable.

I was 38 years old when I took to cycling as a means of getting back into shape. At that time my stomach used to look like a pregnant lady's belly and I weighed more than 100 kilograms. I was looking for an easy to do method to lose weight and shed my belly fat. So, I thought why not try out cycling. I thought that if my grandfather used to be so fit and smart because of cycling, why can't I try that method to become as good-looking guy as my grandfather. So, from then on I made it a point to do cycling daily for at least 30 minutes.

The pace that I used to gather did not match a professional cyclist's speed but it wasn't bad at all. I used to cover 6-8 kilometers in half hour time on my cycle. My body used to get drenched in sweat after a 30 minutes workout. I burned calories and lost weight quickly. After six months of regular practice and effort my waist size came down from 44 inches to 36 1/2 inches, and my weight from 105 kilograms to 75 kilograms. It was an unbelievable achievement!

Guys/girls if you are dead bent on shedding your belly fat and looking to develop strong legs, and a body free from joint or neck pain then make cycling a part of your daily work out. A disease free body can be easily got by pursuing a daily 30 minutes cycling session. It's a very easy to follow workout and moreover there is minimal stress on your knee joints, and your spine. It's a safe exercise routine that helps make your back along with your legs strong and well toned.
