In-Vitro Fertilization

In-vitro Fertilization is the process in which eggs are removed from a female; they are then fertilized and returned to the woman's uterus. The process of In-Vitro-Fertilization or as it is better known, IVF, involves egg extraction, sperm collection, fertilization of the egg with the sperm in a culture, and implanting the fertilized embryo in the uterus. There are many risks involved with this process including multiple births, birth defects, and stillbirths. A typical IVF cycle could cost around $12, 500 in the United States. The cost is something those who cannot conceive naturally is willing to pay.

Donor Eggs

According to the American Pregnancy Association, about 3,000 births each year are the result of donor eggs. Donor eggs are eggs, which are donated by women to a donor bank. The same way that men donate sperm to sperm banks, is the same way that egg donation works. Who are candidates for egg donation? Women who have experience early menopause, poor egg quality, a history of mental or genetic diseases that she does not want to pass on, non-functioning ovaries and women who may be older and may have difficulty conceiving. The process is similar to IVF, and the fertilized donated egg is then implanted to the woman's uterus. Compensation to the egg donor is around $4,000 to $5,000. While to cost to the couple paying for the donation could run anywhere from $15,000 to 20, 000, says the American Pregnancy Association.

Surrogate Birth

A surrogate is a woman who is paid to be implanted with your embryo and carry your baby to term. This is an option for women who have trouble carrying a baby full term due to illness, or perhaps she had a hysterectomy. If you travel this road, make sure everything between you and the surrogate is spelled out word for word. Always use a surrogate agency who has a good reputation or perhaps has been referred to you by someone who has already used them with success. Hire an attorney from the very beginning of the process to navigate you through intricate legal processes and procedure. This is not an option o elect without competent legal representation.

For many parents who cannot have babies on their own, adoption is a wonderful answer. So many babies and children are looking for qualified loving parents to take them in and raise them as their own. Go to a qualified adoption agency and as with surrogate birth, you will want to employ the services of a good attorney who specializes in this area.

If you have tried all the natural treatment options available to you and you are still unable to procreate, then any one of these alternatives could be the answer to your problem.
