Alternatives to Shampoo and Buying the Best Shampoo

Parents feed their children whatever they find appropriate. Applying shampoo is not an exception. Is it necessary to use shampoo to wash your baby's hair?

For most parents, a new born is so fragile that they buy anything and everything available on the market. There is no need to use shampoo on a baby's hair. Babies don't have much hair and their hair doesn't get dirty like the hair of most adults. You only have to wash your baby with a "Little" soap. The same mild soap can be used for the baby's hair. Remember, babies have fragile skins. This implies that the fewer chemicals you use, the better.

There are so many scams out there at the moment. Beauty products are not exception. Is using shampoo to wash your hair a scam?

Using shampoo to wash your hair is not a scam. It is just a marketing ploy to get you to spend more. It is also meant to make you feel cleaner, because you are using a product that is very popular. There are alternatives to using shampoo (soap or just water). The reason why a lot of people actually use shampoo is because they have been conditioned to do so. Hairdressers encourage the use of shampoo like, l'Oreal, Vidal Sassoon, Pantene etc. They earn a living through these products hence; they promote the use of shampoos.

You will be amazed how many brands sell shampoos. It is difficult to know which one to buy. What are the best shampoos for your hair?

The best shampoo depends on your needs. A lot of people like shampoo that have a strong smell (coconut, vanilla). Others buy their shampoo because of a TV commercial that promotes celebrity type results. If you are gullible enough to fall for the gimmick, then, that is the best shampoo for you. Those who are into frugal living will buy the cheapest shampoo they can find. The best shampoo to buy is the one that makes you feel good. If you get a lot of compliments through the use of a shampoo, that is the best for your hair.

If you have been among the lucky ones to receive sample shampoo, you might have discovered that they are very tiny. You probably felt that the samples are not enough to wash your hair. How much shampoo is needed to thoroughly wash my hair?

A lot of people make the mistake of almost emptying the bottle of shampoo when they wash their hair. There is no need to repeatedly wash your hair until it feels dry without any trace of oil. The oily properties are your body's way of protecting your hair. You should wet your hair thoroughly and apply the shampoo evenly on your palms. Using both hands apply the shampoo onto your hair. The amount of lather generated does not equate to the amount of shampoo you need to use. The water you use can impact the amount of foam generated.
