Alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio

By Edited Oct 17, 2015 0 1

There are some very viable alternatives to the Bose Wave radio music system that you may want to consider before you spend upwards of $500 on a CD/clock music system. Many of the options you have will offer comparable quality, perhaps better, at a lower price. While different people will have varying opinions on which speakers sound the best, few will deny that the Bose Wave radio is not high quality. Still, it may be worth your time to check out the alternatives to this music system, so you can save some money while listening to your favorite bands. You will find that there are many companies offering CD players with alarms and AM/FM, but few that can stack up to the quality of sound and reliability. Let's look at some of the best alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio that you may want to keep in mind as you are shopping.

Tivoli Audio

While I cannot write a fair and impartial review on this tivoli

alternative to the Bose Wave radio, since I have never owned one, I can state that after reading several reviews, the vast majority of customers have been impressed with Tivoli Audio and their stereo and music systems. Pricing is far less. In fact, the price is about half, perhaps less, depending on what you get and where you look. This can make the Tivoli Audio music systems one of the best alternatives to the Bose Wave radio that you can find on the market today. If you are looking for a good, quality product with quality sound, then this may be a great option for you to consider. If the reviews are accurate, you will be very happy if you buy this music system as one of the alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio. It is not cheap, but it is substantially less expensive, making it a budget friendly option for those looking for a music system or cd player with AM/FM and alarm clock.

Boston Acoustics

If you are exploring the alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio, you may want to check out Boston Acoustics to see what they have to offer you. You will find they have many options, including speakers, home music systems, CD/clock units, and home theater units available that can stack up against the completion. While I don't own anything by this company, I do know someone that has a set of floor standing loudspeakers from this company. They sound absolutely incredible, which is why they are one of the very best alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio. I have not heard much that will compare to them. These speakers have filled many house parties with music for the partygoers to listen to. In my opinion, they are one of the very best alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio system that you may want to keep in mind as you shop for a system.  You'll find boston acoustics, for example, at Amazon.

Cambridge SoundWorks

If you are exploring alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio, you may want to check out a music system by Cambridge SoundWorks. According to the reviews I was able to find, the majority of customers are very happy with these units. Many claim the speakers deliver superior sound quality, making it a great option to keep in mind as you search for a new set of speakers, CD/clock system, home theater speakers, or other type of unit. You will quickly find that this company produces, according to the reviews, a great alternative to the Bose Wave Radio that is worth checking out. The SoundWorks i755 seems to get great reviews from most customers. Priced at about half of what you would pay for the Bose Wave Radio, you will find it one of the very best alternatives out there to buy. While it is not necessarily cheap, it is priced less, making it a good financial choice for those that cannot afford to spend more on an AM/FM alarm and CD player.

Panasonic Docking Stereo System

In particular, the Panasonic SC-HC3, is priced at about half the price, making it a very attractive alternative to the Bose Wave Radio. This unit gets decent reviews, but some have referenced inferior sound quality, which is likely to be very important to anyone looking to get a quality music system. Still, it is safe to assume the sound quality is still substantially better than a cheap CD/clock sound system you can buy at the discount stores. Check them out to see what you think of them. You can buy the Panasonic SC-HC3 for about $200 or a little more at most retailers, including Amazon. You will find it a reasonable alternative to the Bose Wave Radio music system for a lot less money.

Phillips DCM250

The Phillips DCM250 Docking Entertainment System appears to be quite popular. The price is much less, making one of the good alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio music system. You will find decent reviews on this product. In fact, after reading them I am seriously considering purchasing one of these units myself. You will find that reviews are favorable, including reviews pertaining to sound quality, one of the main areas where the cheaper music speakers and systems fall short. In addition, the price is about one third of the Bose Wave Radio, making it one of the most financially responsible alternatives you will find anywhere. You can find these online and in some department stores. Sites like Amazon and eBay are a good place to look for this product. It truly is one of the very best options you will find as you look for good music system with quality sound at an affordable price. Phillips provides one of the better alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio.

Department Store Options

You can spend about one tenth of the money on some department store music systems, making them a cheap alternative to the Bose Wave Radio music system. In general, the main difference will be the sound quality the CD player/clock/alarm/AM/FM stereo provides. You need to realize that in many cases, you will get what you pay for as you explore the alternatives to the Bose Wave Radio.

I own the top three that you listed and the Cambridge SoundWorks wins hands down in sound quality. It is a bit large, though, for a dining room table or nightstand.
