An Acid Reflux Natural Remedy that Actually Works
Do you suffer from Acid reflux? It is a terrible condition where acidic gastic juices come up from your stomach and go into your esophagus when it should be closed off.
Some major symptoms of acid reflux are: heartburn, chest pain, burping up food, having a hard time swallowing and teeth problems.
If you don't treat your acid reflux issues and they stay long term it can cause major health problems. Most people use over the counter or prescription drugs, but there are natural treatments that you can use instead.
Some of my favorite acid reflux natural remedy options are the following:
* Got Milk? Dairy has an alkalizing effect on the body. Drink some skim milk and see if that helps.
* Stay Hydrated - If you don't drink enough water your acidity will be worse, plus water helps to clean out toxins that may be contributing to your acid reflux issues.
* Eat an Almond - Almonds have been shown to help with heart burn, why not give it a try?
* Sip some Tea - Specifially try Fennel or Chamile tea, which has a really nice soothing effect on your tummy and can really take the edge off your acid reflux. Make sure to sip it though, this is not something you should gulp. Also make sure it is warm as opposed to hot.
* An Apple a Day... keeps the Acid Reflux Away? Actually yes it can help quite a bit.
* Sweet Ginger - Try some ginger candies, but make sure they are made from real ginger instead of some artificial flavorings.
* Apple Cider Vinegar - I have seen this work several times, put a small amount in a glass of water and drink it down. You may want to sweeten it a bit/
* Papaya Enzymes - You can get this in pill form or eat a Papaya directly.
* Be a Gum Chewer - Chewing on some yummy gum will help stimulate your saliva production and that will help dilute your stomach acid.
Use these natural acid reflux remedies next time you feel your heartburn start to creep up on you. You may just find something that works beautifully that is natural and cheap to boot!
