In 1899 George Eastman and the Kodak Company purchased a new invention called Velox, for one million dollars. Velox was a photographic printing paper created by Leo Hendrik Baekland.

Over the years Kodak photographic paper has developed tremendously. It is now a top selling, top of the line product , that is created in a variety of finishes and sizes. The most common sizes are 4" X 6" and the 8.5" X 11".

Finishes on the Kodak photographic print paper are many. The ultra premium and the luster professional picture paper are used in the top photographic establishments. There is also the glossy and the matte photographic printing paper.

When buying photographic papers for our own personal use on an inkjet printer, we also must decide if we want a glossy or a matte finish.

The type of printer we are using plays an important part too.

Anyone looking for cheap Kodak photographic paper will be pleased with the current prices in the market.
