The Greeks inherited many traits from their ancestors the Mycenaeans and the Minoans like athleticism, intelligence, religion and quest for ideas. The various inherited traits enabled the Greeks to develop an empire that was renowned for the military supernatural skills that to this day is awed by people.

This is supported by the fact that in the movie Troy the Greeks sent thousands of ships out to the city of Troy to fight. These ships carried hundreds of men on them and where strong and capable of traveling great distances. The Greeks also Inherited polytheism from the Minoans. The Minoans where polytheistic and believed in many gods and goddesses. Polytheism was an important part of Greek culture. Everyday life in ancient Greece revolved around the gods. The gods where used to explain the mysteries of the world like lightning and earthquakes. The Greeks inherited art and architecture from the Minoans. Many of the concepts used in the Palace of Knossos like pluming where used in Greek structures.
The Ancient Greeks inherited many valuable traits from there ancestors the Mycenaeans. War was a valuable trait that the Greeks inherited from the Mycenaeans. At around 1250 B.C.E the Trojan war began which was a war that the Mycenaeans fought with the Trojans. For 10 long years the 2 sides faced of until eventually the Greeks overtook the Trojans using the famous Trojan horse. As stated on page 103 of our textbook the Myceanean civilization was also a strong trading nation. The Myceneans became even richer then the Minoans from trading and this was passed down to the Greeks.
