Anti-Aging Diet

Anti-aging products create a billion dollar industry.  Everyone is trying to look younger and find the fountain of youth.  Rather than spending hundreds of dollars on anti-aging products filled with chemicals, you can prevent aging, look younger, and live longer by making some slight modifications to your diet and incorporating certain foods into your everyday diet.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is a world renowned cardiothoracic surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital, who became a household name when he started making regular appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show.  Dr. Oz now has his own talk show and is the author of several best-selling books.  He has suggested additions that can be easily incorporated into your diet that will not only help you look younger but will also ensure that you live longer.  This article explains Dr. Oz's anti-aging diet and the simple ways that you can prevent aging with the foods that you eat.

Antioxidants (5 servings per day)
Eat five (5) servings of foods such as blueberries, acai, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and broccoli in which are all antioxidants everyday.

Green & White Tea (4 cups per day)
Drink four (4) cups of either green or white tea or both everyday.

Red Wine or Concord Grape Juice (1 glass daily)
Consume the powerful antioxidant resveratrol by drinking one (1) glass of either red wine or concord grape juice each day.

Fiber (25 grams per day)
Get 25 grams of fiber everyday by eating foods such as fruits, vegetables, beans, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, "100% whole grain" bread, or chia.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids
Eat salmon, walnuts, and avocados for omega-3 fatty acids or get your daily dose of omega-3 fatty acids through roasted or ground flax seeds, hemp, and spirolina algae.

Olive Oil (1 to 2 tablespoons a day)
1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil should be part of your daily diet in order to live longer and look younger, by be careful not to heat the olive oil to smoking point or it lose its nutritional and anti-aging benefits.

If you make sure to consume antioxidants, green and white tea, red win or concord grape juice, fiber, omega-3 fatty acids, and olive oil everyday as Dr. Oz instructs, you will look younger and live longer.  Following these simple steps will ensure you prevent aging with the foods that you eat.  Dr. Oz hasn't just set out an anti-aging diet, he has created an entire checklist for anti-aging.
