Antivirus 2010 - Removal
Antivirus 2010 is a misleading Malware application that runs on your machine and creates a fake system crash with an artificially generated blue screen of death. This program ranks at the high end of the threat scale. The program installs itself when users click on misleading banner advertisements offering "Free" virus scans. It can also be spread through various Trojans. The program then conveniently recommends that you purchase their Antivirus 2010 software to remove your "Virus". This program is in no way associated with the legitimate Norton Antivirus 2010 software and should not be confused as such. Do not under any circumstances pay for the Malware they install on your machine. Not only are they infecting your machine with Malware but they are trying to get you to pay for a problem that they created to begin with. Antivirus 2010 can be removed using any number of the legitimate antivirus programs such as:
1. Norton Antivirus
2. McAfee Total Protection
3. Windows Defender
4. StopZilla.
Make sure you have an updated and active copy of one of these legitimate antivirus and anti-malware tools on your machine. Any of those applications are good and will keep your machine free of Malware. Personally, I use McAfee Total Protection. I like the fact that it auto updates and offers an online console where you can get a quick easy snapshot of what's going on with your machine.
