Anxiety, Stress and Hypnotherapy
We can either reduce stress unconsciously through overeating, smoking, drinking too much or through a host of any other negative behaviors. Or we can reduce stress consciously through choosing activities that form outlets to release pent up stress, tension or anxiety .
The aim of hypnosis is to help implement methods and strategies to effectively deal with stress and to build a healthy resilience to it accordingly. The hypnosis used supports the chosen strategies' implementation and to ease the transition to this healthier lifestyle. We all know it's much easier to zone out and watch television than to go for a walk. The hypnosis and hypnotherapy used will support the strategy and to provide the motivation to continue moving forward in the outlined positive direction.
To form a new habit takes around 30 days. One of the best ways to implement a habit (or activity) is to make the decision to test the habit for 30 days and for initially only 30 days. Setting a time limit eases the mental pressure in being 1) motivated to continue the goal/activity and 2) having the ability to succeed for that short period of time (as opposed to implementing something 'forever').
What typically happens is that the client of hypnotherapy Melbourne reaches the 30 day mark and realizes that they've effectively implemented the habit and that the habit has become part of 'who they are' and hence, simply choose to continue with it. They don't feel like missing out on going to the gym anymore. Or choosing to watch television. Or choosing to stick dead tobacco leaves into their mouths. They've become accustomed to the healthy activity and the benefits that it brings.
Here is a list of example activities that you could look to implement or simply do as part of your hypnosis anxiety stress reduction program. It should be noted that not all of these activities could be continuously done for 30 days, but they all could be implemented as a "30 Days to Try Something New each Day Challenge"
