Anxiety Hypnotherapy - Does it Work?

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

There are many methods that one can undertake in order treat anxiety. Anxiety Hypnotherapy is one method that has been achieving a lot of attention lately. This is due in most part i would suggest to recent studies that highlight the best method for treating anxiety and depression is a combination of anxiety hypnotherapy, anti-depressants and behavioral cognitive therapy. From an individual standpoint i cannot test the claims as to whether the three methods combined do actually work successful. However what i can say is that a lot of people who suffer from anxiety have been getting good results along from anxiety hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy works by talking to the subconscious part of your brain. As Maxwell Maltz first wrote about in his book Psycho Cybernetics, the subconscious mind is your internal computer that helps controls your automatic functionality. These automated response that you see in your daily live manifest themselves in many ways; from knowing how to drive a car without thinking, to learning language, to smoking and other disruptive habits, these are all controlled by the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy works by changing these unconscious beliefs which are the controlling forces that 'act behind the curtain'.

A hypnotherapist does this by putting you in a very relaxed state, allowing your critical mind, or your conscious mind, to shut off. The hypnotherapist can by pass the critical nature of your mind and talk directly to the subconscious. This gives him or her the ability to change the underlying beliefs that you hold whether it be subconsciously or consciously. Anxiety hypnotherapy can treat the underlying limiting beliefs that are the basis for anxiety. Once can do this without hypnotherapy but the process takes an extremely long period of time in order to work.

If you do suffer from anxiety and wish to find a way to reduce it or remove it completely why not give hypnotherapy a go. It might give you the ability to by pass the effects of anxiety and become a little more balanced, thus enabling you to live a healthier and more enjoyable life. Do some research online and check hypnotherapy websites to see if there's a recommended hypnotherapist in your area. Ask your friends whether they've seen a hypnotherapist in order to use hypnosis to quit smoking or something similar, so that you can see whether they come recommended or not. Regardless, hypnotherapy for anxiety can yield results for you, but you must make the first step!
