By Edited May 10, 2016 0 0

Applying eye shadow is a lot of fun and can change your whole look. There are very few things that can make as large of an impact as eye shadow.

Find the best tools you can to get the job right and you'll love the results. The first thing you'll need to consider when you're applying eye shadow is what type of skin tone you have.

If your tone has a lot of blues and red then you'll need to select cool toned shadows. If your tone is more yellow then you'll need to select warm toned shadow.

If you're in between then you can pick neutral shades. It is so easy to choose the right colors based on this system. Many makeup companies have taken note of their customer's desire to have beautiful eye shadow that matches their skin tone.

Many have labeled their eye shadow so you know which colors are great selections for you. When you have your colors selected you'll need to make sure you have the right tools to do the job.

Buying a professional makeup kit or a professional eye shadow applicator is a great idea. You can use anything from your finger to a q-tip though, so figure out what works best for you.

Then, you swipe the applicator through the light eye shadow. Apply this right above your eyelid. If it is very light you can even apply it right under the brow bone. This will help to make your eyes nice and alert.

Next, you rub the tip of the applicator in the dark eye shadow. Apply this very close to your eyelashes your upper eyelid. The effect here can be as dramatic as you like depending on how dark the eye shadow is.

Then, you swipe the applicator into the medium colored eye shadow. Apply this below the crease at the top of your eyelid. Be sure to blend all three of the colors together. This should create a seamlessly beautiful look.

Applying eye shadow can take some practice if you're not used to it. Everyone has their own methods so it might be a good idea for you to practice and see what looks good on you.

Also remember that the color of eye shadow you use might depend on the time of day and the occasion. This is something you can really have fun with. If you're learning all about applying eye shadow you'll be amazed at how different you look.

You should always choose colors that compliment your skin tone and apply them based on their color. No two people are alike so be sure you choose the right colors and application style for you.
