Are Warm Mist Humidifiers Better than Cool?
Perhaps this isn't the right question as "which one is better" can only be answered by you. It all depends on what you're needs are and what you are looking for. See, these 2 kinds of humidifiers function very differently.
Most doctors would recommend that you use cold mist humidifiers for children because it's less dangerous. Less dangerous in the sense that they will not get scalded or burned in the event that they bump into the machine or if it accidentally spills.
As for warm mist humidifiers these, on the other hand, are just as great if you don't have small children at home that might accidentally knock it down and prefer the cozy environment that it creates. It also does not require the use of distilled water unlike its cold mist counterpart.
It is also better for people who suffer from sinuses and regular bouts with the flu. Most people prefer warm mist humidifiers for the cold seasons because it makes the room warmer as well. Another great thing about it is the fact that you need not change the filter once a year unlike the cold mist variety.
So, which one is better? Well, both types of humidifiers have their known advantages and disadvantages. It's rather hard to say that one is better than the other because people's preferences differ as well.
They would most certainly do the job that they were designed to do and it really is up to the user themselves to judge which one is more suitable for them. Basically, you just need to choose the most suitable type depending on your situation and I'm sure that you will find the best kind for you.
