Are you Searching for a Workout Routine?
Millions of people every year go in search of a workout routine to lose weight, get in shape, build muscle, and get healthy. The problem is that there are countless books, magazines, blogs, and sites all saying they have the best workout routines. So how can you cut through all that and find the workout program that is right for you?
I have been involved in the health and fitness world for over 20 years. I have worked at gyms, nutrition stores, and natural supplement companies. Over the years I have seen tons of information on fitness and weight loss and tested many supplements. I found most of them to be hype that didn't work. Since I have been doing a lot of work on the computer for my work I recently decided I needed to add a workout program into my routine. I searched for what was out there and what is getting people results.
Here are the 3 things you need to consider when choosing a workout routine.
1 - Will I do it? If you really aren't committed to the workout program then it doesn't matter if it works or not. What matters first is are you committed to changing your health and your body. If the answer to this is really yes then we can go to the next point.
2- Does it work? With so many people saying do this or that and all the marketing, most people can't tell if the workout program works. I have a saying, "Everyone's brochure is great". What I mean is every company is tailoring a message for you to think it works. You have to learn to read between the lines. One great way to measure is, have you heard of the program. Workout programs that work create buzz because everyone wants to brag about their progress.
3- Can I Do it? Once you establish the credibility of a program, then you can ask yourself, "Can I do it?" If it requires 30 minutes a day, you have to answer can I do that. If it requires a gym membership or a special diet you have to be able to do it. When I was looking for programs, I looked for programs that I could do at home, that didn't require a huge amount of time. Pick something that gets results and that you can and will do.
So that is it. It really isn't that complicated. You can start your research for workout routines and feel free to see the ones I chose when looking for a workout routine. I hope you get committed, find the right program, and get started right away to changing your life for the better. Don't wait until health problems become your motivation. Do it today.
