Are You a Friend With Benefits?

By Edited Jul 8, 2016 0 0

Love hurts, in fact sometimes it can be blinding. Sometimes a relationship isn't a relationship at all, and for some may even be a friends with benefits type of situation. Is your mate really your boyfriend/girlfriend, or are things just strictly sexual? Here are a few signs to tell if your lover just wants to be "friends".

Your lover only calls late at night.

This is a sure sign that your mate only wants one thing from you. (Hint: It's not intellectual conversation.)

Your significant other doesn't want anything serious.

Not wanting a serious relationship can mean your partner doesn't think of you in the same way as you do them. Sexual intercourse should mean serious relationship, but for some, it does not.

Your mate introduces you as a friend.

If you're not getting acknowledged as a girlfriend/boyfriend, chances are you are NOT his or hers partner. (Only their friend in the sack.)

Your companion is seeing other people.

Your another notch on your other half's belt if he/she has multiple partners. Don't be fooled by the word "dating."

There are many more signs that can be added to this list, but these are the most recognizable. If any of these pertains to your relationship, you may want to reevaluate your situation to make sure this is something you really want. A relationship shouldn't be confusing, and communication should be clear. Be careful and try not to let your heart get blindsided! No one likes a broken heart. (Or eating a whole carton of ice cream, because frankly, brain freeze is the worst.)
