When it comes to applying Asian makeup almost all Asian girls try to make more of the facial features that they have. Whether it is making the eyes look bigger or techniques to make lips look full for that perfect sexy smile, the applications are slightly different than other cultures. At a young age they learn how to create a complexion that is fair and from there they learn how to properly use shades for creating a nice-looking shape of the nose. It is a time-honored artistry that is practiced in ceremony as well as daily life.

Asians have a nice gift for looking seductive even without makeup. But by adding the right style of makeup to their Asian features, it can make them more beautiful in a natural and flattering way. Even the heavy application of the colorful ceremonial makeup transcends ordinary beauty when it is applied properly. They know how to achieve their looks in their own ways.

Asian makeup is not applied in what would be considered the conventional way. To apply eye makeup in that way it is not applicable to Asians because they usually have a single lid. That means that they do not have an upper lid crease. There are some that have creases on their lids but it positioned differently and the length is not like the typical Westerner's eyes. That is why some women just prefer to use darker eye shadow and draw a crease or shape an imaginary crease using an eyeliner or eye shadow.

Here are some Asian makeup tips. For those who are used to brown and black colored eyeliners and are hesitant in trying other shades, you can still put in a little spice to the look of the eyes by changing the liner type. You can still use brown or black colored liners but an addition of color to make it look fabulous while still maintaining a simple look. Look for eyeliners of those same colors with a metallic hint like gold. You can try a dark brown or black with a touch of gold too. The gold color will only be obvious if the liner is smudged. If you like very bold colors like brown and black, you can also try other shades like plum, hunter green and sapphire. These colors create an amazing impression next to the dark colored eyes.

Asian eye makeup also includes not using the traditional method of eyeshadow application like putting the lighter shade on the lid area. Instead, have the crease with the medium one and the brow bone with the lightest for highlighting purposes and the darkest on the outer side. What is applicable and more flattering to Asians is to start with the darkest color from the lash line. This is a more sophisticated look compared to trying to add a dark shade to a crease that is not really in there. This will create a sexier and smoother look when you finish off the look with mascara and dark eyeliner.

You can also try placing a light color on the inner lid, the area close to the nose, and slowing fading to a darker one. The darker one should be a fading effect on the outer lid. Applying a highlight color on the brow bone can enhance the look too.

With regards to the best color palette, the skin tone of Asians is best suited to colors that are muted. That is the reason why Asian girls can achieve the smoky look with out much effort. The skin tones of Asians when combined with their dark eyes and dark hair make them look gorgeous even with the darkest color like black shadows. Asian makeup looks best when dark colors are blended with frosts or glitters. The combination will highlight the eyes yet maintain the glamor and simplicity. You just have to work on the color combination from brown and black that work best for the eyes.

The techniques for lips are twofold. The color needs to contrast the face and balance the eyes. The traditional colors are those found commonly occurring in rose petals. The pink of the leaves of the Japanese peach tree is also a timeless classic. Lipstick must be applied to give an illusion of fullness. Just beyond the upper edge of the lip, apply a liner of a neutral color and make sure to blend well. Apply lipstick evenly to both lips but ease the application towards the corners. For an extra pop of fullness apply lip gloss to the middle of the bottom lip.

As you can see, there are many Asian makeup techniques that can enhance the Asian face. When you know what you want to enhance, you will be able to find out what kind of look that will work for you. These tips also apply to Asian bridal makeup.
