Atlanta Seafood Restaurants

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

One of the best things about living or visiting the south is the great food.  There are a variety of different foods that you can enjoy while you are in the south.  One of the most treasured and popular categories of food in the south is seafood.  Although there is seafood in the northern states, there is nothing like taste of southern food in atlanta restaurants.

The first dining location on our list is the Oceaniare Seafood Room.  This restaurant is located on peach tree street.  The Oceaniare seafood room will transport you back to the 1930’s and give you the feel of being on a cruised liner from that time.  The interior is decorated with wood carvings and red leather seating.  This is a great dining location for anyone wanting an upscale experience.  Expect to pay around $30 for your average main course.

Another great location is Goin’ Coastal on Virginia Avenue.  Goin’ Coastal is also a great location for children.  This establishment is also a tad pricey (main courses in the $30’s range).  One of the most talked about aspects of Goin’ Coastal is it’s full bar and fantastic cocktail and mixed drink offerings.  This would be a great place for date night.

The next location is the Goldfish located on Ashford Dunwoody Road.  The goldfish features a large aquarium and beautiful artwork.  The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes that are sure to please even the pickiest eater.  Goldfish is perfect for the night scene crowd and offers a great setting for the up and coming trendsetters.  The average main course runs around $28.

Another great place to eat is Crawfish Shack Seafood located on Buford Highway.  This is a great place for families and children.  The menu offers a variety of traditional seafood complete with hushpuppies.  This is also a great location for those on a budget.  The average cost of items is under $10.

Next we will explore Canoe  located on Paces Ferry Road.  Although Canoe is on the pricey end (prices ranging from $31 - $60) it’s scenery and atmosphere will stay with you for years to come.  It is settled right on the Chattahoochee River.  The menu boasts a creative and out-of-the box items.  This is definitely a great place for those that like trying something new.

Another great establishment is Joey D’s Oakroom located on Crown Pointe Highway.  This restaurant is more moderately prices, in the $20’s.  Joey D’s is not as well suited for children, but does have a cozy relaxed atmosphere that will be perfect for a group of grown up’s out for a night on the town.

The final restaurant on our list is Garrison’s Broiler room located on Paces Ferry Road.  This location would be great for a first date, but also a fantastic place to bring your entire family for a well deserved night out.  The prices are in the $20’s range so it is not a bank breaker.
