Average Central Air Conditioning Prices

Did you know that the average American during summer season spends 40 percent more in their energy bill due to their air condition units?

Air conditioners are special cooling units that are designed to control purity, temperature, humidity, and motion of air in a capsulated space, independent of its outdoor condition.

In a self-contained air-cooling unit, the air inside the house is heated using boiler units and is cooled by being blown straight into the units refrigerant-filled coil, the treated air is then distributed to the house.

Using a dehumidifier in your air-con unit can increase your energy bill, which is due to its dehumidifier alone and the air-con unit that requires considerable amount of energy for it to function.

There are many types of air conditioning units, and central air conditioning unit is one of them. central air conditioning prices also vary greatly compared to window air conditioners due to there pronounce cooling ability.

Central Air Conditioner is divided to two types: the packaged unit and the split system. In packaged central air conditioner, the unit's compressor, evaporator, and condenser are all placed in a single cabinet, which is commonly located on its roof or on concrete slab right next to its foundation.

This type of central cooling unit is popularly used in small commercial buildings. Its air supply and return ducts are accumulated from inside the house through the home's roof or exterior.

Packaged air conditioning units are often built with natural gas furnace, and its built-in combination of central air heater and air conditioner eliminates the need for a separate indoor furnace.

In a split-system central air conditioner meanwhile, a durable outdoor metal cabinet houses its compressor and condenser, and an indoor cabinet contains its evaporator.

In most split-system air conditioners, its indoor cabinet contains furnace. Furthermore, its evaporator coil is also installed in cabinets or main duct supply inside its heat pump or furnace. The split system will cost more than one single air conditioner.

Comparably, central air conditioning prices are considerably higher but the comfort it brings is worth it. They are more efficient in terms of cool air delivery, and they are more quiet convenient to operate.

For you to effectively save energy and money, opt for energy efficient air conditioning units. During winter season, central air conditioning prices dropped greatly, and most of today's central air conditioners are now 30%-50% energy efficient.

Finally, adequate sizing and installation are two essential keys in determining efficiency. Too large cooling units will not effectively remove humidity, while smaller units will be ineffective during hot season. It is hard to determine the exact price and cost your air conditioning system will be, but it usually ranges from $4,000 to $10,000 if you don't already have existing duct work in place.
